Do You Have A Strategy For Keeping Up?

With working full time, and trying to get my business going, lately it seems like time is really limited here. Actually lately, it seems like I am always falling even further behind than I used to be. Yes, great things are in the process with my online offline business things, but at the same time, it leaves me little time for other things as well. But personally I wonder if people have a strategy here, and what do you do to keep up? For me I usually try and spend time when I can be here responding back in the discussions I have started here, and posting back in others discussions as I can. Most the time like I said, responding back and resolving the discussions that I have started here is very important for me for sure. Just needing to find more time to get more organized and keep moving forward in everything I am wanting to accomplish. ~~TINA~~

I wish you much success with your business. I just work on articles now and then. I got $160 and change earned from yahoo. I only wrote a couple of articles but I have a large audience and that brings in passive income. I have one in for upfront pay. It takes a couple if weeks so I usually don't bother.

Once you post them there can you ever post them anywhere else, or are they then owned by them? I have a whole bunch of articles I have wrote just not sure what to do with them.

For myself, I've found that two things help: A list and a schedule. Besides those two things is self discipline. I'm not nearly as busy as I used to be but my life is still pretty full with projects and work. When I don't stick to a schedule and make a list each day, my productivity falls to almost nothing. Some things like myLot are not scheduled, but I find odd times to check up on things here and I don't allow it to become a burden. While I enjoy being here and occasionally getting paid, it isn't such a priority that I can put off other things for it. I work one day a week and a few hours here and there for a certain web site and I freelance a couple of afternoons each week (and sometimes write in the middle of the night). I'm putting the house up for sale so right now there is a lot of work to be done there. I replaced the trim and painted the bathroom and am not repairing a neglected and unused bedroom. I have to move some rock, clean up some branches and weeds and get the gardens ready. I am working on a pattern for a cellphone pouch, and so on and so on... without a list and without a schedule to know what I need to do each day, I would just bumble from one thing to another and never accomplish much.

Good luck. I find that even with prioritizing and making lists, it still takes a lot of discipline. I don't always have it.

I need to start a list, and then cross things off as they happen. Or for a better way with paying bills, etc. Might start doing that with some of my more active friends here to make sure I am keeping up more with some of their new discussions that they start here as well.

That is actually a smart way to do things. I know I could benefit more from doing this again as well. Many times it seems like I never have enough time to get everything done like with my online offline jobs and upcoming shows as well. I need to get back organized to concentrate more on what needs to be done when so I don't always feel so rushed.

Well, I am behind with even those. Lately I come here when I can and mostly work on trying and respond back in my discussions as well and then go from there.

I think if you write down what you've accomplished each day you will feel better about "keeping up". I didn't think I did anything yesterday but when I wrote it all down, I did a lot and felt better about the way the day went. I put away my laundry, make an important appointment, activated a new account, updated my mini-minder, did some cooking, paid some bills, straightened a cupboard. That's a lot for someone in my condition right now and I felt like I'd accomplished something. If you can make yourself realize what you've accomplished instead of focusing on things left undone, you'll be surprised how industrious you are!

Well, I am thinking about writing down on paper the things I need to get done each week, bills to pay, etc and then see if that will help. I know that their are many days I know I got a lot of things done, and other times it feels like it was too busy. But overall, I am sure that if I kept track more, I would feel satisfied as well.

Cut corners. I would say cut MyLot, ha ha, not to sound horrible but that's what you have to do - prioritize what's important and put the rest off until you have more time. I am finding it incredibly hard to get everything I need to done in a day between my full-time job, part-time job, and full-time school. It gets really frustrating at times.

I can understand what you mean about being frustrating. Lately I am so busy it is impossible to keep up in here, as well as getting other things I need to get done done. Lately it just seems like my business is the main thing I am concentrating on besides working full time for someone else. Got a few things in the works for something I am wanting to get done by August which could mean a lit less time active in here.

Message me what site this is as it sounds interesting. I know lately it seems like time is always quite limited to where I never get enough time to do everything I would love to get done.

At times such as that, I try to grab quiet moments whenever I get the chance, for it is the quiet, contemplative moments which help me to keep up. I talk about this on my blog sometimes, http://inner-monastery.blogspot.com

Hi there! I'm a full time student, a part time blogger/writer, a full time mom to my five year old boy, though somebody is helping me I always give my time to him whenever I can and I also this little business of mine. It's really hard to coupe up with a lot of things but ME as a blogger I always take Mondays and Wednesdays to prepare and finish my articles at least 4 hours each day. Though I'm a full time student, I always take Tuesdays and Thursdays for the whole day and take a break at lunch and continue with my subjects again. I see to it that my only vacant time is lunch. So when my schedule starts at 7am it ends at 12pm and resumes at 1pm till 9pm. For my business, I can say that I'm lucky to have it because I can bring it anywhere but when our main branch calls for a one week gathering/meeting, my Friday is very open. Now, Sundays and Saturdays, that's for my little boy. That's my strategy, you just have to manage all of your time to keep up with your goals. Set in mind that you have to finish something today, and you'll never realize that the next day is an extra day for yourself.

Yes, learning to prioritize and do things you feel are important to get everything you need to get done in life is important. I know many times it gets hard to juggle everything for sure. I would love to have more time in my life than I do. So I have to try and get everything done as I can and time permits, and hope for the best from there.

I think it's just a question of managing your time better. You may need to do up a timetable to fit in with your outside work hours, figure out what times you need to spend on your other businesses and when and then figure in your time you need to do chores at home, spend time with hubby, go to your doctors appointments and what ever is left over is for myLot or something along those lines anyway.

Unfortunately, it's been the same with me. Unless we're determined & disciplined to take time to myLot, I don't see any other way to get "caught up". With the myriad of discussions on here, how do you pick & choose which to respond to? Helps too if we don't have full-time jobs besides.

Hello Tina, I hope that everything is fine with. It seems you are always busy in your everyday life. Just like you, I felt I am too busy also everyday I find hard time to sleep because I need to overlook Miguel my son when I am home. He always woke up at 4am so I need to wake up and play with him. He still 2 months old. After few minutes he will go back to sleep and time for me to do my online stuff. I think the most important things is time management. We should follow our daily schedule.

Well, yes, and lately my mind is always focused on my business life and getting both my business things going more to where this becomes my main passion and self supporting as well. Lately keeping focused to where I can get everything done is most important for sure, and then taking time to come here as I can.

I have an online business, but it doesn't really take too much of my time except these past few weeks as it was tax season and I had to make sure all my documentation is in order. This is on top of my regular job with an upcoming audit, and taking care of kids, and doing chores, etc. Up until this week I was really swamped with lots going on. My strategy has been to sleep less. I've been staying awake past midnight and waking up just before 5am to catch up. This is not a good strategy, so I wouldn't advice it to anyone else.

Hello, KrauseHome! I think that the best way is keep up with all the things that you need to attend to is to prioritize which ones should be given more attention.

That is the truth there. Especially since for now I work full time and really wanting to grow my businesses to where this becomes my main source of income. Problem is getting solid to make these always be my main concerns and doing what it takes to get there.

i am also in the same boat i am working very long hours at the moment as i need the money and it pays more than earning money online so the time that i spend on here is very limited. My strategy is to priortise and spend most the most times on the sites that can earn me the most working i usually find that this works best.

Since deleting my Facebook account and ending my affiliate marketing activities, I have found that I have freed up a lot of time, to devote to Mylot, I am much more active here than I used to be, that is because I have more time on my hands. Although I know I have to look for work offline, and that means less time on the computer, but at the moment I can keep up with my notifications and the few sites that do earn me a bit of money. My tutor once admired me for being methodical and systematic with my approach to work.

Prioritizing. What is most important to me? My strategy here on Mylot is to finish a certain amount of responses(notifications from my email)and if I did get that many I go to the site and find more to reach that amount daily. I try to start at least one new discussion weekly. I would like to do five or even more but I can't keep up with that amount so one is usually it for me. I am really bad about resolving discussions too. I have scads of them that I haven't resolved. But since a few months back I do try now to resolve all the ones I start. Smaller goals and reaching those makes me feel good. I think doing a little on several things is better than nothing.

You are ver busy just try to kick back a few times a week for something you like to do.Come on here or listen to some music, watch a film.It is important to find some time for you ,otherwise you will burn out. That happened to me I am alright just unable to deal with stress outside the home.So be careful and hope things go well for you.Remember it does not all have to happen all at once.Good luck

I am also working full time and I am devoting some of my time to work online. It really needs a lot of hard work and patience. I made myself a schedule and I am following it. I have several sites online so I need to choose the best ones.
