What is the meaning of "THINK OUT OF THE BOX"???

to think better ideas that will make good effect, to switch or to change than the usual things you do something that will impress your boss with maturity and like the others said creative and with innovations that will give solutions.

More commonly known as think outside the box, refers to trying to be innovative, creative, doing things differently, better, in a matter that not most would think about it. For example using algaes to create energy is definitely thinking outside the box ;)

Well i think that's probably because they wants you to think as creative as you can and imagine things as you can so as to get the point of one thing.Hopefully this works for you.lol,anyway,learning with desire is good for all of us,all the wishes.

The first thing is not have any preconceived notion about a job or person relying on your personal opinion.Think in bigger perspective and do not conform to known standards but find what is best and effective solution for a problem.Then you will become a man when you have the guts to make a decision and own responsibility for the outcome of that decision on your own.

I guess your boss wants to imply that you need to go out with your own characteristics and explore and find your other side. Be a man, meaning grow up and acts like a man. Man has a word of honor and has his own belief and motivation.

Maybe he was trying to tell you that your thinking are gone outdated and you should try creating new ideas to survive in this world.

On my own definition it means "think out of the box" is be a broad thinker not just around your corner but go beyond of it. Be broad minded. If they think you're a childish well, be matured. Don't stock to one thing but go forward and must find some new for improvement. In short, get out of your BOX. Your box represent of your place or present situation. It means you have to be creative and do things that are different from how things are supposed to be done. Usually what we do it to do it the lazy man's way, you know, doing things the traditional way. Thinking out of the box is to go out of the norm and to create your own style, your own brand and not just do the usual or the traditional methods. You need to use your imagination when you do this and trust yourself.

This simply means viewing an issue in a different perspective. It is like thinking of other possible things not in the conventional way or not what other people would have done about an issue.

Hi Tushavi, In short, your boss wants you to be more efficient. In order to be efficient, you need to come up with a better way of doing things than others and for that you need to think in a different and better way and that's called thinking out of the box. Here Box defines the limits of thinking of general people and only by thinking out of that limit, you will be able to come up with a better way of doing things that you do in your current job role.

hi tushavi he wants you to forget the ordinary ways to do something and find new ways so be creative and find new solutions to old problems WE get boxed in by thinking there is only one way to do anything when there can be many other ways to do the same thing. Being creative generally mean growing up and trying out new ways to solve an old problem.So we think out of the ordinary into the extra ordinary and find new ways to solve old problems that means we are maturing.
