I rarely work overtime course I rather have my days off to enjoy not to spend at work, so when I do work an extra shift I look forward to my next paycheck,
so I'm supposed to work this coming Sunday which would have given me an extra day and time and a half pay for that day course I would work Sunday through Friday.
Well my co-worker wanted to be off Saturday so my boss put me on the schedule for Saturday also....HERE"S THE BAD PART, that would mean that I work 12 days in a row and they don't let you do that and I sure as Hellll wouldn't anyways.
So now she gave me off today (Tuesday) then I work Wed, Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun, Mon off Tuesday again next week...............
Here is the stinger now, even though i work 6 days in a row now I won't get overtime course Saturday is the end off the week, and since she's giving me off next Tuesday i loose my Sunday overtime......so now I have to work 6 days, my weekend and I don't get any overtime out of it
Oh yeah, she never even asked me if I could work Saturday.......,
Did I get bamboozled or what?

Yes, totally agree with you. You are still working on one of the weekend day but
do not enjoy the perks of overtime on Sunday. Perhaps you may come up with something
and suggested to work on Sunday instead. Never try never know. However be tactful at your approach. Just my opinion, if it is difficult then better don't. All the best and have a good rest and leisure on Tuesday.

that was fantastic the company even pay us in a small amount of penny whereas if we are always online comment etc. in a whole day we earned so much in it.

I will get a couple hours of overtime if I decide to work 10 hours Saturday and Sunday since there is no afternoon person, but I don't even wanna be there period so I doubt that I stay 10 hours, unless it's really busy and they need me too

Does your contract state anything about this explicitly? On the other hand, even if it does it will be unpleasant to confront her with it, and neither do you want to make a fuss about it to the authorities either unless this becomes a repeated pattern. Maybe you can smile and casually mention that hey you should be entitled to overtime pay.

I probably could have said something like...."I wish you would have asked me first course I already have plans for Saturday" but on the other hand she always gives me a day off when I ask for it

She should have asked. I do not know what your company policies are, but we cannot be put on on a normal day off without them asking us first. I have some flexibility in my schedule, but my preference is alternate weekends off and Tues, Thursday and Friday work. Actually my real preference is not to work at all but I cannot get away with it. I will work a double on the Saturday I work, starting next month. I really do not like those long days, but it does help the pay check.

This was the first time ever that she made a schedule without asking us first, I know she's in a real bind and would like to work some of those days herself but since she's the supervisor and makes more money they don't want her too, still what if I had plans?

I might feel the same way because weekends/day off are too important to me. It is a good thing that my work schedule is from Mondays thru Fridays only.

I believe that's the first time in almost 10 years that I had to work both of my weekend days off

I am truly glad I don't work for any out here, I love working online now,I remember when I use to work I had to work 5 days a week, and that included Saturday and Sunday my days off were during the week, these bosses know what they are doing, when the have you to work on the weekends.

I had my same schedule from the day I started there (almost 10 years ago now) so I guess I shouldn't complain about working 1 weekend but it's the way she went about it that pissssed me of

Hello missy bear,
I am surprised that they are just now starting to do this in your part of the world. They have been doing this and more for years, ever since they had the excuse to blame it on the financial crysis - to not pay overtime but expect it, and at the rare companies that actually pay for over time (and force employees to do them or they won't get contract extensions) they are paid at euro's course of January 2007...
So yes, you have been had, but it comes as no surprise in the economic "crysis" at the moment

Usually she asks if we can or want to do it but this time she just made a schedule without asking...that really made me mad, what if I had plans for Saturday which I do have on most weekends

We have the same nature of work when in terms of working days. In the office, I can have my rest days anyday and I can have my rest day even one week. We do not have overtime pay but we have an unlimited access in internet so instead of going home on time, we extended our time here to do online earnings. lol. That was only our consolation.

That's great, we don't have any online earnings at my work though
