Have you ever enrolled in a boys-only or girls-only school/s? yes, what are your great and/or worst experiences there? If not, what do you find about these schools? With all my respect, I just want to ask this generally. Do children learn better in these schools?

In co-ed schools there is a competition between boys and girls in study. This helps them to encourage their studying interest. But in boy-only/girls-only schools this won't be there. If children study in co-ed school, they learn how to interact with other gender. But students studying in boys-only/girls-only schools, they hesitate to interact with other gender. This leads to Some bad things.

Competition does exist in an exclusive school :) I went to an all girls schools and I have met some of the most competitive people there. And it's not true that girls or boys coming from exclusive schools don't know how to interact with their opposites. In fact, the school organizes a soiree where students from all boys school visit our school for interaction. We also organize one by ourselves :)

Not ever- although i have been in one and it was one time. I also hear some rumors that some girls in an all-girl school have lots of lesbians and even have relationships.. i also observed while i was there that some girls don't care about their look, their skirts are so short and revealing and sometimes even messy. Although i had a friend who came from a school like that, and she was fine, normal...

I had no experience on schools like that but I think they are weird. I remember my classmates that are boys and it's not bad that they are my classmates. I prefer mix boys and girls in school.

Hi,
In my school both boys and girls are studying together. What is the advantage of such separate schools for boys and girls I don't know. But girls and boys at our school time didn't talk each other.

In a way,non-co-educational schools are better because you do not have the trouble of feeling attraction of the opposite gender. I myself studied in a boys-only school and I never had any bad experience. We had lot of fun and frolic. We enjoyed like anything. Of course, some people do have bad experiences.

Till my high school graduation I studied in a Boys only school. I felt very comfortable there as I was free to do and say anything to my friends. But after that my school turned in to a mixed one. But then I started to restrict my speaking rights as I cannot shout anything in front of my friends as there were girls also hearing those comments from me.Also I felt very shy to speak to the girls even to those in my class as I have never talked that much to girl. But I have to adjust with it. Anyway I have overcome that now.

I have never enrolled in a school like that, i am even shocked that there are still schools like that. I cannot really say much, since i do not know anyone from a school like that.. But i guess it is pretty much the same, it just depends on the person on how he or she will cope when transferred to a co ed school.

I used to study in an all-girls school. But when my younger brother started going to school, I was transferred to another school with my brother. I really do not see any difference with regards to the kind of education that the schools offer. I think it is just the matter of being comfortable with students of the same gender.

i never experienced to enroll in girls school, due to lack of money my parents are enrolled us in public school thanks to the government by not allowing all public schools to pay for tuition fees.

Hello!
I went to an all-girls school before going to college, and I'm really glad I did. High school gave me the best experience despite not being able to mingle with boys all the time. However, we do have soirees wherein the school organizes interaction with other boys school and it was fun. Not that I want to have a relationship at that time :) But we still have what other co-ed schools have, proms, grad ball, intrams, pretty much the same except we're all girls. So we're not a bunch of weirdos :)
We're pretty much independent there. Since we don't have boys who needs to carry a table or whatever, we do things on our own and we learned how to help each other. And most of my closest friends until now are my classmates way back in high school.
It was really fun :)

First of all, girls/boys schools should not exist. What's the use of them? At the end of their studies, both man and women should work together in a work place. These gender differences should not be entertained. Boy and Girl are just two different genders, emotions, dreams and wishes remain the same, then why is this discrimination?

I studied in a co-ed school till 10th standard and then shifted to a girls only school. Trust me, it was so boring!
No, children don't learn better in these schools. Rather, they miss out on knowing and understanding better the other gender which might have helped them in life.
