Do you think taxes are fair?

I have read comments, articles, and heard people talk about taxes a lot lately. I have read comments about people that think they are paying more than they should. I have also heard many comments about how people that are in the middle class or higher class shouldn't have to pay more just because they make more. People have argued that the middle class and higher class earn the money so they should keep it. I have even heard the phrase "spreading the wealth is theft".
What are your opinions on taxes?
Do you think people that make more money should pay more taxes?
What about people that make minimum wages, what should they pay?

The problem I see is that those of middle to lower income are getting squeased tax wise by those in the upper income brackets who pay much less on the dollar.
The middle class are taking a beating by the tax man. Middle class means two car and one house. Both the cars and the house are not paid for in full. They state it takes two incomes to make it and they are right if you want any quality of life.
Those that say the poor pay no taxes are full of dung though. They pay through the nose too. The poor pay for their food, clothing, (yes even the thrift stores charge tax) and the education materials of their offspring.
I recommend refocusing anger from the middle classes to the stratisphere classes robbing us all blind.

You have a very compelling argument there and I have to agree with you. I have always thought about how poor people have to pay taxes also. I hear so much about the middle class and upper class having to pay taxes and that it is so unfair, that they should get to keep what they earn.
Well the poor people should have to keep what they earn as well. Poor people could also use the money that is paid for taxes for something else, and then maybe they wouldn’t be struggling as much.
I just hate how middle class and upper class people that have never been poor just don’t get it. They sit back and think that poor get everything for free, and don’t pay taxes, and that they are paying for those people. That is so far beyond the actual truth of the situation. Some people are blind and will never wake up!
You never hear about how poor people have to pay taxes, but you always hear about how middle and upper class citizens have to pay taxes!

no, i don't think taxes are fair. they are usually to pay for things that have nothing to do with you, like welfare. i hate paying for lazy welfare people.
