In my other post I talked about my boat experience in going to another island. Well this time, in coming home, I opted to take the long road trip and it was not any different. So many people were lining to get on the bus that would take them to the place where ferry boats are awaiting to transport them to the next island. The road trip was more than 5 hours. It was a bumpy and dusty ride as I did not take the air-con bus because it would leave later and I wanted to be home quick. So I had to endure the long dusty trip. It was so tiresome and I felt like I was inhaling all the dust for the windows were open. I needed the wind because I would feel claustrophobic with windows closed and the bus has no air-con. I was very, very tired after the long road trip and we had to hop to a ferry boat which took about 45 minutes to reach our island. From there, we had to take another bus, another 30 minutes before reaching our house. I felt so dirty and so full of dust. My hair felt like a dry mop, I had in mind to shower before getting some sleep, but no, I was too tired to do that. I went straight to bed in that condition of mine.
Have you ever tried this?

That sounds like a long dirty trip. Inhaling that dust and dirt would not be comfortable for me. I know myself there could be no way that I would be able to get into bed feeling that dirty. I would have had to take a shower. If I had gotten into bed dirty like that I would not have been comfortable enough to sleep no matter how tired I was. I have to be clean to get into a clean bed. In fact in a week in half I will be traveling for a complete day by plane to the States. I will not be arriving there till about 12am but I will take a shower before going to sleep even though I will be extremely tired.

What a journey! 5 Hours on a bus? What did you do in all that time? Did you take a book, talk to anyone, gee those five hours would have dragged for me, doubly worse in those type of conditions, I would hate to be in such a confined space too, no wonder you were tired after all that, I hope the trip was well worth having to go through all that. I bet you had a good night's sleep after that. I tend to avoid long journeys by bus, mainly because I am so tall and the seats aren't that comfortable or accommodating, and you are not in control, in that you can't pick and choose when you want to stop, I don't think I could last that long without a toilet break, was it non stop or did you have breaks en route?

With that length of time, I had to take a leak before the bus goes, then the bus also stops halfway through the destination, so we take another break there, and finally upon reaching the pier we can do our business there. I was just sitting and staring at trees, houses, stores, more trees, mountains, seas, people, etc. It was so tiring. Reading a book while the bus is moving only gives me a headache.

I can't forget the night that I walked 3 hours straight pausing only a few times. I got home at 11 pm, legs numb, sweat dried. I didn't care and just went to sleep. Compared to what I went through, not bathing is just a tiny speck.

Hi ! Seems it was a very tiring but fulfilling trip ! Traveling indeed is a very good satisfying teaching experienced . It is a priceless git to ourself. You must be very tired that your mind wants to go for shower but your body was just too tired to follow. I can't sleep in bed without a shower though can hardly moved , i would do it fast as i can then jump to bed . I maybe can sleep without changing sheets but can never go to bed without washing or showering. All of us is really unique and beautiful.

Oh, I am sooooo sorry for your terrible long trip ordeal .
I never had that in my life and I guess no matter how tired I am, I will still get a quick shower to clean up myself before I slump onto my cosy clean bed .

Hi there! I can feel how sleepy you are. It's like the bed is calling your name and you have to crawl to go there. Every step is so heavy that you can almost sleep at the doorstep. But no, for me, I haven't done that. I muster every strength I have and clean myself up before going to bed. I wouldn't feel comfortable enough sleeping dirty or dusty and I would end up tossing and turning and having a bad sleep instead of a good one.
What I skipped for sleeping is eating. I would prefer not to eat at all if I am really really that sleepy. I guess I have a higher tolerance to hunger than bad grooming. Hehe!
Thanks for the discussion Cutie ;)
