last night i just ate a lot of fruits and didn't eat carbohydrates or rice. but this day i have lots of spaghetti. too bad. i was not able to control my eating. though i was not really hungry or craving for the spaghetti, i just ate because of boredom i guess. so i should have taken this opportunity not craving for rice or white pasta and should not have eating out of boredom. i am emotional eater or just reward myself with food. i should be more disciplined. tonight i would just try to eat more fruits again.

It can cure emotional eating problem also.As you chew it more longer your taste buds get more pleasure out of that small quantity pf food; also the whole process require more time so your brain get this feeling that you have had plenty food. That fixes craving for food problem.

I eat out of boredom a lot, especially on my days off, I guess I could eat fruits and vegetables but I really love junk food.

Hi there Hotsummer!
It is hard to say no to temptations especially when you have nothing to do. One way to avoid that is to keep yourself busy. You can start exercising, using a dance pad or enrolling in dance lessons can keep you buys, help you stay fit and keep you inspired to continue eating habits that will lead to a healthy lifestyle. You can also learn a new sport, you can try volleyball, badminton or table tennis. You can also buy instructional DVDs or just watch videos on YouTube that you can follow such as belly dancing, Tae-bo or Yoga. I think you can still reward yourself with food from time to time, and you can still eat what you want, you just need to consider the portion of the food that you are eating - everything in moderation.

Overeating is caused many times by stress or depression. I think that you should try to find out what is the reason for your behavior. Why do you become bored? I think that rewarding yourself with food is not a bad thing, as long as you don't eat too much.

Maybe you can try something else to replace your boredom. This way you can keep yourself busy with other things and not think of eating. I know it is tough to be disciplined. The other possible way is to try re-condition your mind and your thinking that such food you are eating will cause with serious illness and you feel so scared of dying and you will not want to touch it at all program that into your head. It might just work.
