Try to reduce smoking day by day. It's very hard to give up that habit in a day. Or you can try some of 'no addiction' products. But i'm not sure about it'll help or not. You can stop if yu try to reduce and then try to stop. Avoid seeing others smoking. Avoid situations inducing you to smoke. Avoid thinking about that. If you feel like to smoke, get rid of that place where you are.

It needs the determination to quit smoking. My dad was a heavy smoker in the past. Finally he decided to quit smoking for the sake of better health. When he felt like smoking, then he would go to do some housework such as mopping the floor. So he would not focus on smoking only. He tried to do something else. After he kept on doing this for a week, he has no strong feeling to smoke. And I am glad that he succeed to get rid of smoking at last. I hope this tip will be helpful for your friend.

If you truly want to quit,you just stop smoking and stop buying them,throw out your lighters and ashtrays,stay active,be healthy,and get on with life.
