Being Boring For Nothing..Whoopee!

I'm always taking the piss out of myself in the fact that most of my discussions are a tad boring..but I've always been honest about it and continue to be so.
However, if people decide to leave because they won't get paid from the site anymore..what then? Also, I loathe and detest Facebook so refuse to be on that..so I'm going to be lonely in here my friends if you all desert the sinking ship.
Anyway, onto more bori..er..interesting matters as in my slippy, slidy faux satin bedding I bought from The Range the other day. The more expensive bedding is on John's bed so I have the slippy, slidy stuff instead. I can't understand why it's so romantic to be in such a slippy (oo-er) environment but it's entertaining when the slippy, slidy duvet decides to er..slip off lol.
Here's a pic for your delectation or..sickbag, whichever you prefer!
By the way, the whole lot (including the faux satin sheet) was only £14.39 so I guess the price alone is enough for me to put up with the slippy slideyness.
Right, you can all go back to the even more boring Facebook now.

Hello my wonderful friend.
So, from you're saying you will stay on MyLot but look elsewhere as well in order to make some money, am I right?
That's good news.
MyLot without Hatley is like blue sky without the sun..bit of a waste of time.

Hello Janey,
At the moment I am thinking about it. I will not be on as much as before but I will be around I guess.
You do need to put a cotton sheet between the others as the top one will end up on the floor.
But it is nice to look at just the same.
xxx

I didn't get your message my friend you are definitely NOT boring, and I am glad to hear you are sticking around, and I will be there so you won't be lonely Not sure about satin bedding I much prefer the touch of Egyptian cotton on my delicate skin. I prefer to sleep alone anyhow, so any romantic gestures or items that are to aid stimulation are totally wasted on me

I thought that, initially, but once I got in I was surprisingly warm. Aah, the beauty of 100% polyester lol.
To be honest, the colour of it is the thing I love more. Reminds me of a gorgeous, blue sky so, waking up to that every day is pretty good..well, not every day. I will wash it occasionally.
Haha!

I tried them once. No thanks! LOL I have enough trouble just keeping my cotton sheets on the bed with my dogs getting underneath them and running around whenever they get the opportunity. (It's some sort of cute little game with them, I suppose. They love doing it.)
So, do you find yourself sliding off the bed with those sheets?

Not quite but give it time. My duvet had moved way beyond where it was at the start of my snooze time, that's for sure. I suppose if I put a cotton sheet on instead the faux satin duvet/cover won't slide so much. That's the next plan anyway. Can't complain at the price though as sheets don't normally get included in bedding sets.

As long as you are selective about whom you connect with on Facebook, it is a fairly good site. Hate the privacy (what privacy?) issues with the site, but it seems pretty much impossible not to be on FB if one is online all that much.
You could always come over to the Bubblews side if you haven't already. Many people from here are already over there as are people from Gather (which, coincidentally, has "improved" itself into near-oblivion over the past few years *ahem*).

Yes, there are some improvements needed over there to improve user experience. However, there are some changes in the works; I'm hoping that these do translate to an easier-to-navigate site.
That said... There is definitely room for your stories over there... and plenty of people who would love to read your tales of home decorating as well as your mother's adventures.

I am a member of Bubblews but I gave up after a month or so as it's too chaotic for me. If it starts to improve aesthetically then I'll return, but not before then. This is why I love MyLot so much, it's so easy to interact with others on here..oh, and improve typing skills as well lol.

Glad you liked it. One of my VERY BEST in the boring department, I think. It certainly gives that David Bailey a run for his money.

There are many more boring discussions than yours, Janey, and at least you put some effort in and are articulate.
I'm not a lover of slippy duvets as they tend to slide off the bed and leave me exposed to the elements. As I don't wear much more than a smile in bed, it can leave me cold. Plus my wife is cold at the best of times, so doesn't need any more excuses!

Even if there is no pay, we also can share ideas here and make new friends.

Yes, I'm starting to feel that way myself. At the start I was extremely angry about what had happened (especially for those who actually rely on the money the site generates for them) but, I now realise I am very lucky in the fact my husband is earning more money now..so less pressure on me I suppose. I do use sites such as ClixSense and Neobux but they are relatively slow earners. I also test websites for (mainly) UserTesting and they pay $10 a time. However, I don't always meet the demographics. I always did with MyLot of course, as did everyone else.

I'm so glad to know that you don't have much pressure about money now. I do like to earn some money from online work. But there is no effective way now.
