Hi. I'm in a some kind of crisis now, because I don't feel like life is worth living anymore. I don't know what made it worth to live before, but as I get older I feel like it's not worth it. After school and all the things that I "have to do", I feel like all the fun things and the things that I enjoy aren't enough to make it worth it. Does this mean I should to settle for less? If it does, how can I really "just do it"?
I would really like to know if there is other people with this kind of situation and I'm pretty sure there is. Recently this have been making my studying harder because I get sometimes this thought, "What's the point anyway?".

I have been through this feeling too. Life seems to take form, the way your parents wanted you to live, but there is one thing that people forget and that is you! What you did all this is time is what " you have to do" . Try doing something that you want to do and enjoy doing it at the same time. You know the answer, you just haven't asked yourself the right question yet. Be kind to your yourself and your inner self.

Doing things that you really like will keep the fire burning in your heart. And so you won't be feeling that you are settling for less or haven't seen the point of life. Enjoy and pamper yourself this time.

it's hard to say, esp. if you are in some kind of crisis, I have been there many times in my life. People always said my time would come too, but untill now it still did not come and I am nearly 50 years old :-S
I think living life is a fact plus it's easier to live with a positive attitude. If you have hard times live by the day or the moment. It's useless to plan, to think about next week or month or year since this can only be more depressing. Accept/tell yourself there is not always a reason or an answer. Pamper yourself every day, write it down to remember what you did do for you and see every day or part of the day as a new start. Tell yourself each morning you open your eyes you will make this the best day of your life!

You are not the alone in feeling like that. Would you like to know what makes many young people feel optimistic and happy? They have found a real mening in life.
I would recommend you to read and search my favorite site, jw.org - here are some articles especially for young people:
You can scroll down and change the language - maybe you like to read in Finnish or something else..
Get help for young people. Dishonesty, alcohol and drug abuse, sexual morality, dating and courtship are some of the subjects under discussion in this section.

There are lots of people who feel that way. And even more so after life has thrown them some nasty tricks, illness, job loss, etc. I find that if you focus on the things that make you happy, stay away from downer people, do things you enjoy as much as you can, that helps a lot. Disclaimer: Not a substitute for help if you have serious depression issue.

I know life here on is very complicated. most of us do say that life is no worth living. Been there and that. that's the meaning of life the complications, the challenges. Just look on the brighter side of it like those people who care and love you. and those people you care and love. that makes life worth living for.

maybe finding a true love or cultivating one of the hobbies will make you feel happy from your heart!

You may not be able to do this right away, but if all the fun things arn't enough, try to find some new things to do. But no matter what, there will always be things you have to do. I own my own house. I have to cut the grass every week. I have to go to work. I have my girl that I share this house with. I have to do certain things to make her happy. But it doesn't mean life isn't worth it. Sometimes it does seem like the things you have to do outnumber the things you get to do. Of course my girlfriend is one of the things that make it all worth. I you don't have3 that special someone in your life I'm sure that someday you will.

sounds like you are lacking some motivation. you have to learn how to make every day special and have some goals in mind and something to look forward to. for us, we are in the middle of getting out kitchen renovated and it is such a pain but i know that it will look wonderful in the end.
for me personally, the big thing that gets me up in the morning is God. As followers of Jesus, we are pretty much His hands and feet so it is important for me to do whatever i can for the cause of Jesus Christ. This means going the extra mile to help anywhere i can.

Days out and seeing friends are high up my list of things I love to do. I get happy at an energetic dancing session twice a week. Try listening to your favorite music. I adore traveling to different countries. My family makes me feel secure and upbeat. Good luck.

The point of living is to ACHIEVE and once you understand as well as gain knowledge what you want to achieve then this feelings that want you to give up you shall overcome. There is always a time in our lives that our feelings shall try to betray us but look within and then look without decide on what YOU want to achieve. Hugs

Well, think about where we came from---not 'where,' but rather 'who': Who sent us? What did They send us here for? Are They ... We?
Could be we're learning some truths about Fun: Fun is the only reason to live, ever. Obviously not 'to have all the fun all to ourselves,' but the non-fun we have to do we do in order that OTHERS may have Fun.

Life is a worth living because God made a purpose on your life and he doesn't made you just for accident but he created you for you to find your own purpose here on earth. One advise that I could give is that try to read the book: "The Purpose Driven Life". It is a good book and your questions will be answered. One thing that you should never forget is to pray always. :D

I thought life wasnt worth living when I was in high school, I wanted it to stop. Luckily I didn't. There are alot of surprises in life, especially when you leave school and gain your independance. Alot of experiences you get will affect the way you see and react to situations as you get older. The best thing about life is that you dont know what to expect, its a mystery and its fun going for the ride. Just stick it out, the bad times make the good times even sweeter.

No it means you should expect more and fight for those things. Here it is your at a y in the road so to speak. You can choose to feel defeated and look at things in a negative light or you can chose to be positive. Count your blessings and strive for more. You are who makes your life's decisions not just what to do with your life but how to look at it.

To make the things you have to do the fun things you enjoy to do.,find out your inner part, and tell your parents your true feelings,re they are the ones who really care about you whatever situations you are in .
