This just maybe a test!

I was just wondering, what if the presence of gay people is a test for straight, religious people . what if G-d is watching to see who is judgmental and who isn't. Maybe just maybe G-d wants to see how "Christlike" people are? Your thoughts.

God is love, and he loves everyone, even the homosexuals. We are to love them too, but we don't havet to accept their lifestyle. We are to pray for them that they will turn from there sin and come to him. I don't hat the gays as a person, I just hate what they do, as what they do, is not God's will and they will pay for their sin, should they continue in it. We have an obligation to let them know what God says in the bible, and let them decide for themselves what is right.

And when they say what they do is their nature? Or hey are as bold as I would be and say, let me go to hell! I rather love whomever I love then live without them. If that means I go to hell so be it!

@rosekiss My heaven is here on earth. To love and be loved is heaven. Having to live my life the way You or Anyone else says is hell to me. The weird part? I'm straight. I love my men! But I'm not narrow. So I rather go to your version of hell then have to lie or live someone else's life to get into your version of heaven.

@sarahruthbeth22 Yes, that is your choice if you would rather burn in hell fire than go to heaven. God doesn't force anyone to beleive in him or follow him. We all have free will and he lets us use it. He just hopes we make the right choice. I choose God and heaven. God bless you anyway.

I don't think God would test person A by creating person B intentionally in any way, especially not in a way that would cause them to break God's Law. That would make him a respecter of persons, giving special treatment to A and making person A more valuable to Him than person B. Instead, we are all born and living in a fallen world, we will each struggle with sin and with trying to follow God perfectly and we are subject to those things that can befall us in a fallen world. The answer is to find God in all of it and seek Him and His answers for our lives.

What if you don't try to follow G-d? Group A and Group B were already made! Gay people are the last of our second classed citizens. It used to be Anyonr who wasn't a white male. Now , or at least real soon, under man's law , everyone wil be equal. Now I have heard G-d's law is different. Ok. So it means there will be more of us going to hell then.

@sarahruthbeth22 If you are not following God, why would he test you?

@Rollo1 I follow no one! I thank G-d almost daily. i am not being tested. I'm not suppose to love my enemies or love everyone. I started this post because I wondered if the Christian G-d was testing His followers by putting someone different to see how people react.

I think people have different ideas of who and what God wants us to be. I don't find him in an outdated book that contains many ideas (some I mention in another person's response) that go against my own morality. If it feels wrong, I shouldn't do it. Hate or judgement of others feels wrong to me so I work not to do it... that includes hating someone for being something I'm not. God never really said or meant a lot of the things people claim he did... people just pick the parts of the bible they want to use and twist it to fit their views. That is something God will have to talk to them about someday. Not my place to do so.

@ShowMeHistory Or not and follow what they believe. Not everyone is Christian.I believe we all can find the best path to the Being I call G-d. Find yours and be faithful.

@ShowMeHistory I agree totally that people from all sides of the (any) issue will use the parts they want that fit their causes. I also agree that everyone should learn it for themselves and not always follow what someone else says it means. To me, I find God in a much simple place and in a much simpler way. And to honor him, I live as morally just as I can. The morals are based on my feelings, thoughts, and researches, but I think a good Father would appreciate the efforts to do the right thing.

God does not tempt anyone. That is for sure. People are what they believed they are. If they're gays then, it is their own choice.

I think God doesn't test, like as in "maybe I will try this on the little bugs down there." But I think God is aware of our hearts and actions for sure. I am convinced that God cares about our health and happiness. When it comes to judgements perhaps laws, sins, punishments may become a thing of the past. Love will fix everything.

I don't buy that. I think people are just hateful and ignorant. That is just a fact. Would it be great if everyone got along? Yes it would. But you know as well as I know that will never happen.

Judy Story • @jstory07 God does not change with the times...His word is the same from the beginning to the end.... satan is the one that is trying to change, and destroy Gods word... Just because mans laws say something is legal or all right to do...does not mean that God says it is all right to do....

@dlr297 If that is true, that things don't change, you couldn't wear a mixed blend top, it would be ok for a man to beat their many wives with sticks as long as it wasn't bigger than his thumb, and the world would have way too many babies to keep on going. Things changed even within the stories in the bible... why would they stop after people stopped writing the stories?

@dlr297 I read what you took so much time to write. I appreciate your effort. But I disagree with a lot of things that people take from the bible and how they transform it to fit their own morality. You quoted one of my favorite things that I do take from the bible: "Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." Love is a wonderful thing.... love does not insist on its own way... that is a true thing. I will always feel that if we live a life that is good and fair we are doing what God wants. Including loving and accepting those who are not the same as us. The book that was written doesn't seem to be a guide so much as a history book, written by humans. It is read and interpreted by humans. Humans are flawed creatures.
