Are you in the right place and time?

Well let me explain this.. Do you feel like you live in the right moment in time, in the right place with the right kind of people, doing what you like? If you don't ,what would you want to change? As for me I am happy where I am doing what I do and I guess I wouldn't have fitted in well in any other place or time.

For the most part, I am perfectly content. I would rather be in my retirement home, back living off the land (for the most part), and enjoying more time with hubby.

@sofssu Well, it's not like I want to be older. I am old enough. It's more like, I wish we were financial set so hubby could retire and we can both enjoy life together before getting too old. If you know what I mean.

I believe that whatever happens, happens for good only. But still i think that i could be at other place doing something else rather than now where i am.

@barood4money What do you think you should be doing and where would you want to be? If you don't mind sharing.

I can think of any number of decades I could be very happy in. But I am stuck with this particular time and I suppose I have to make the best of it. At least I have a computer.

@Rollo1 You seem to be so resigned to your fate.. I am glad that the computer is part of it.

@excellence7,yes,to some extent,I can say I am satisfied where, when and with whom I am right now.Equally true is the fact that you can never be fully satisfied with what you have. That's why I used the words 'to some extent.'All I can say is I could not have been at a better place,in a better time and with better persons.

But I am not too convinced about the last line: "All I can say is I could not have been at a better place,in a better time and with better persons" How can you be sure about this? Life is a product of choices we make. Maybe some choices could have resulted in you living a completely different life right now, and you never know, maybe that life would have been far better. So, there are always many possibilities around us. I think people fear to face the reality as it is and we rejoice in the comfort of our own version of reality. Correct me if I am wrong.

@excellence7 You can only be sure of what you have.. it is wise to learn to be happy with the present reality than an assumed happiness in a imagined place.. that is what I think.

@else34 Glad that you are mostly satisfied with your life as it is now. Hope you get all that you need in the future.

Probably not...I think I don't really belong here, not in the right place not in the right time...maybe I should have been born like 15 years before/later and would of fit better(or in a diffrent place, not sure where)

I'm not sure, I just get that feeling of not belonging. not being able to easily fit in Probably a personality thing, or a socializing aspect. I honestly feel like kids today are much more like me then kids 15 years ago, but maybe I'm wrong lol.

I believe I am living in the right time and place for me. There are times when I think I would have loved to have lived during the era when women wore dresses like during the civil war. They were so beautiful but then I think of having to wear a corset and I change my mind

@simone10 A corset I'd rather be in prison. Glad you feel that you are living in the right time.

@sofssu Exactly! I do remember wearing a girdle when I was in my teens. That was bad enough.

Yea, I am happy with where I am at. I loved being a teenager in the 80's and that is enough to tell me that this time and place is where I needed to be. I am working towards to moving on to another place but I think I definitely still in the right time. For this lifetime anyways. :)

I think it is not entirely relative to what I would like or not. Sometimes, I hold on to a belief that everything happens for a reason and thus, I trust the drama around me. But deep inside, I am not 100% happy though I pretend often to be. There are things I have to change in my life - within me and around me. And I am convinced that I will do it.

@sofssu Exactly. What's important is that you are enjoying everything you are blessed with. That's the key to happiness in life.Unfortunately there are few people who are happy with what they have.

No I am not. I always have this feeling of belonging somewhere else. Where? Well, I don't know that and there's nothing I can do about it. I'll just make do with where I am now.

@cupkitties sorry about the way you feel.. Maybe there is a way to find peace in your current existence and maybe even find happiness along the way. I hope you find it sooner than later. Take care.

I would prefer not to live alone, but since I have for eight years, I have resolved it won't be any other way, so on that note, I am happy being where I am. I don't have to account to anyone but me, so that alone, makes me happy. I can go wehre I want do what I want.
