If you have been on Facebook today you may be seeing some of the things I've seen. Pope bashing and bashing Catholics. I am not going to give attention to those who are saying things, therefore, I won't repeat the nasty things...

Despite being very fond of a number of sports (watching, that is, not playing!) I have only ever paid to watch cricket matches - and it is about ten years since I last went to one. I have never been to a football or rugby match,...

I try not to be surprised by the things my kitten, Captain does, but sometimes he does something so odd that I get surprised. That's what happened a few days ago when I came into the living room and found him between the glass...

Cheryl Larkin Ah yes, kittens do love exploring and they do love squeezing into tight spots. They are such a joy to watch. It is always great to see them learning new things and growing and realizing things, just like with kids. And yep, once he gets to big to squeeze in...

Every night before bed my kids and I sit down and read together. For the past few weeks we have been reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone by J.K. Rowling. We read one chapter a night which is usually about 20 minutes....

Cheryl Larkin I used to read them to my daughter until she got old enough to read them herself. They are fantastic books. So much imagination. We have also seen all the movies which are great but not near as great as the books. It is always great to find a book or movie...

Me? I'm cat people myself. Have raised cats my whole life, or should I say I have been raised by cats my whole life. I like the interior "plumbing" feature that cats have...they use a litterbox indoors and all I...

Cheryl Larkin I love animals but I am definitely a cat person. I have been owned by cats for the last 36 years since I got my first cat at age 10 and that will continue until I die. I love their independence, and in my experience they are very loving and they care deeply...

Seriously!
I see so many people have got so mired up with what happens after life that they have forgotten to live and are constantly fearing each other or scaring each other about after life.
Thanks, of course, to doomsday...

Cheryl Larkin In my bias, religion is man made, so no, we do not need more of it. We could use more spirituality and kindness and a person does not need to follow any religion to have both of those. In my experience the most hateful, mean, angry, hypocritical people I...

Cheryl Larkin I don't think any more about gay couples than I do about straight couples or inter-racial couples or inter-faith couples or any couples for that matter. To each their own. Go out, be kind, be happy, don"t hurt others and enjoy life. Who you love or who you...

I have been known to read 4 or 5 books at a time. Some people find this weird or crazy. For me as long as the books are very different in plot line or in characters than it's easy. I do this because sometimes one book gets dull...

I look around and, sure enough, there is a cat, getting ready to barf on the floor.
Well, I have a flattened paper...

Cheryl Larkin I am a cat person, a huge cat lover, so to me the throwing up is just part of being owned by a cat. It does not phase me at all, any more than my daughter throwing up. I generally ask the cat if it is ok and give it some loving and then go about cleaning up...
