I would like to know whether we have any restrictions in my lot on posting number of discussions per day. This is because of the discussions numbers per person is very less here when we count . Also, many mylotters post one or two discussions per day here. Let me know the terms here

There are no official restrictions on the number of discussions you can start. However, there are practical considerations. MyLot is NOT a 'paid-per-post' site. The payment algorithm is very complex (and nobody, apart from the programmers) knows how it works in detail. What we do know is actually all in the Earnings Program FAQs (see the link in Help , next to your avatar and username at top left). Earnings are calculated based on your activity and interaction rather than on so much per discussion, response, comment &c. so it is important to 'maintain' your discussions by replying to the people who respond and, if possible, continuing the discussion, just as you would a conversation. That means that, if you get a number of responses, there is a practical limit to the number of discussions you can have 'in the air' at any one time. That won't be the same for everyone, of course, so you will have to find your own limit based on the time you want to spend here and so on. Of course, taking part in other people's discussions is also 'activity'. I find that I spend quite a lot of time joining in other's discussions and so don't get to post that many myself!

No posting limit here in myLot in terms of discussions started. However, best bet will be to start just enough number of discussions that you will have enough time to reply and interact with other myLotters as well.

No, but you shouldn't post more than you keep up with, as in order to be paid, you need to tinteract with other users. You post comments to the responses you receive, and then someone might comment back to you, and you comment backto them. That is the interaction that mylot is looking for, and also they are looking for quality and not quantinty. More than just a once sentence discussion, as in order to get responses, it should have substance and be interesting enough that users will want to respond. I hope this has helped.

As many as you want, which could be a good thing or a not so good thing. Sometimes it's better to try for posts that have some substance to them so more people will comment on them.

Actually a 'lot' usually refers to a piece of land that is owned by somebody, so 'myLot' means 'My Place' (for gardening, building a house or, in this case, starting discussions and meeting people, &c). I believe that the domain name was first used by a company which sold things for gardens but they let it lapse and it was then bought by the present owners! I haven't put that story on my collection of frequently asked questions (it has been asked more than once in the past!). Maybe I should!
I've been a member here since October 2006 and I and several others have tried to help newcomers to understand the site and to get the best out of it. I've...

I didn't see anywhere in the terms and guidelines on how many posts we can start per day nor did I find anything on how long they need to be. I guess as long as we provide quality posts, we could post as much as we want to!

I don't think there is any. But I try not to post too much because I'm not really on here much and I want to make sure I can keep up with the replies to my post. Good luck and God bless.

Thanks for raising the question,@Manasha.I was toying with the idea of asking the same question here.I don't think there's any limit. It all perhaps depends on how many discussions you can initiate.
