when I was little I used to see that the ideal partner for me would be eminem:)) I saw him as the perfect man. Now obviously I've changed
I would say that the ideal person would be someone who's decent, loving and respectful

In total agreement with you - decent, loving and respectful. And I will add - trustworthy even.

Yes. I agree with this. He or she should also be supportive, and should hold hands and bad times.

So much request for an ideal life partner . But you can have it , if you just pray for it .
I actually don't have an ideal life time partner when i married my husband . I just felt that i love him so much i don't want to be away from him , so we got married .

@SIMPLYD Actually it depends on the characteristic of a person and situation.. These both things decides who will win, heart or mind..

Same with me.. We think and make list of what we want. But at last we hear what our heart wants..

I don't think there is an "ideal" partner. I mean, you can fantasize and romanticize it all you want, but then you'll likely just end up bitter and disappointed.
I had a lot of ideas about what would be my "ideal" man growing up, but as I got older, I realized that they were silly. That's not what relationships are about.
Instead, there are basic musts that I required in a partner. Someone with integrity, a strong personality who can be both supportive and stern when necessary, and someone I can trust. If those three things weren't there, I knew it wouldn't work.
My husband, of course, is all three. He's not exactly what I imagined when I was young, but what relationship is? I thought it would be awesome to marry anime characters. :P So I don't know that my young self was really all that trustworthy in choosing future partners. ;)

Since I believe that nobody is perfect, I also believe that an ideal partner only exists in dreams.

Loyalty is definitely one of the key character traits, not just when it comes to monogamy but also support and kindness. Someone that doesn't sweat the small stuff, and who I can spend time with doing separate things and still have the best time just because I'm in their presence. :)
