Suffering from writer's block

Today has been a fairly constructive day for me. Aside from the routine things I had to take care of, I fitted in time to do some much needed work on my bonsai trees. I also did some photo editing as I needed to enter a photo for a challenge on another site. Then I read some educational articles that a friend had shared on Facebook.
So after all that, why can't my brain think of anything worthwhile to write about?
Do you suffer from writer's block? What do you do to beat it?

I have suffered writer's block a ton and still do something on the daily. What I do is take off my mind from trying to write something. I surf the web and look and anything interesting. If something something hits me in the face I'll do along with it otherwise I just do whatever until I get something.

@TrabWrites I spend a lot of time looking at other things on the web - far too much time really! Sometimes I find ideas, but some days I don't. As I'm trying to stretch my creativity by starting a new discussion every day it can be a problem when the ideas don't come. Especially if I'm still stuck for an idea late at night.

@Rollo1 That sounds like great advice too. I've got loads of photos on my computer and maybe some of them will provide inspiration. I'd also like to try to earn money with them on other sites, so trying that could end up killing two birds with one stone. Now all I need to do is find the time to do it.

I suffer from writer's block a lot. When it happens to me, I don't even think about writing. I leave it all aside. I try to do something completely different instead of looking for inspiration to write again - that can be stressful. I rather do something different and later, when I feel willing to write again and when there are ideas on my mind that are willing to be expressed into words, I grab a piece of paper and pour everything into words.
So, to conclude, I don't try to overcome writer's block. I rather diverge my attention and energies on something else rather than trying to solve the famous ''writer's block''. Everything happens in its own time. I go by the flow.

@excellence7 That's probably the best way to do things, but I really want to create something every day, even if it's only a short discussion like this one. But I can't write about writer's block every day.

I always consider writer's block to mean one of two things. One, there's something wrong with what I'm writing, whether it be a factual mistake, pacing, character, etc. I may not consciously know what it is just yet, but it's enough to give me pause and block me. At that point, I usually try to go back over what I'm writing, see what it is that's giving me issues, try to pin it down, and then brainstorm ways to fix it.
Two, there's something wrong with me. Maybe I've been sitting too long. Maybe there's just this one thing that I really want done, and my muse refuses to work with me until it's done. Maybe it's just a really nice day out and I don't want to be in. In those cases, I try to do what I can to assuage that feeling, whether it's completing whatever task is holding me up, or taking a laptop or even pen and paper and moving outside, or just going for a 10 - 15 minute walk.

@Gina145 Maybe that's a sign that you need to find something that clears your head and inspires you? For me, I like walking. We live in the country, so if I can just wander outside for 10 - 15 minutes it gets me away from distractions and gives me a chance to clear my head and not worry about things. At those times, I don't really think about anything in particular, so things start to come.
Maybe you just need to find something that helps you slow down and motivates you?

@phyrre In my case I'd definitely say that it's something wrong with me. On the odd occasion when I start writing something substantial, once I get started I can't stop. If I don't finish a draft of what I'm writing in one sitting, I struggle to get back to it at a later time. But more often I can't think what I want to write about at all.

@allknowing I'm not sure you understand my problem. It's not a lack of responses, but the fact that I'm struggling to come up with creative ideas.
