My Reflections On My 6 Days on Mylot.

I've been here for nearly a week now, and I must say that I am favourably impressed. Here are a few things that I like :
1. I love that everyone here is so friendly and helpful. Right from my first post I have been made to feel very welcome.
2. I'm so happy that so many of my friends are already here, helping me to feel at home.
3. It's great to get emails concerning comments and responses - that makes sure I don't miss them.
4. My own comments and responses appearing straight away - there's no waiting to see if they have registered.
5. The discussions can be amusing and entertaining, it's such fun to jump in wherever I feel like it.
6. I like that we can edit our comments if we make a typo, instead of having to delete them and start again.
There are one ot two little things that I'm not so happy about, but I can see that they may be ironed out soon, so it's not worth mentioning them.
Oh and another thing - why is it that when I come on here intending to stay for an hour, I'm still here 3 hours later?

My only fear is that I still have no time to clear the clutter on my dining table which incidentally is my workplace too although we have a room which we call office, upstairs. . Blame it on myLot

@jaboUK I am thankful that there are deadlines for more serious priorities and just because of those deadlines I attend to them - they are interfering with myLot no end though

I am so glad to hear you are enjoying yourself here. Oh and yes, it can be quite addictive. No one wants to scare you away by telling you that when you first join, they let you find out for yourself. That way it's harder for you to leave.

@jaboUK The true interaction is the best part about mylot and the thing I truly love. It really doesn't give you a chance to take a break, you actually have to break yourself a way.

@TexanTornado I certainly have found out for myself, I'm loving it here. I'm having a job keeping up with everybody, it's so busy.

I like it for the same reasons you do.... and your last comment about 'popping on' and still being here three hours later... i've found I have been doing that... I just pop on at bedtime... and two hours later I think uuhhooohhh I should get off.... but don't...lol's

@sueznews2 Yes, it's so hard to get off - I think I'll just read one more post, then before I know it I'm responding and commenting, then want to go to one of the commenter's pages, and then do it all over again!

Yes, I like mylot to be a really friendly and helpful community. I had this feeling many years ago, and now it still is. Mylotting can be a really addictive activity, that's why sometimes when I am busy with my work, I just can't step in here.

@jaboUK Yes, I joined mylot more than 9 years. I think it's my 10th year here.
I still come here even I have a minute or two. As a stay at home mum to two young children, I just have to sneak into my home office to visit mylot whenever I can. So sometimes it's only enough time for me to read, and respond later.

I have a million other things to do but if I get started here, I will be here a long time. I think it's because there is so much immediacy - conversations get started in the comments, things are really hopping most of the time around here.

@wiLLmaH Hi Will - so many friends here! Have you just joined, or are you an 'old hand'?
I only came here out of frustration because the other site was hardly working, and am really enjoying it. I haven't abandoned the other site though - it's been part of my life for too long.

@jaboUK haha yeeeeah I don't even see the point in trying to pretend I will stay here for like an hour. Cause I already know deep down that I will stay for about 4-5 hours lol MyLot addict right here!
