Cinnamon

Cinnamon

I've recently become addicted to cinnamon. Well, I say cinnamon. I mean cinnamon buns. Soft fluffy pastry, spiked with cinnamon and smothered in white icing. No raisins. I looked up the health benefits of cinnamon online, as I'd convinced myself that I was craving cinnamon for some reason. Apparently it can help to lower blood sugar in people who have diabetes. It probably doesn't work when eaten in a cinnamon bun.

I have read about the benefits of cinnamon as well and I am trying to add it in my daily diet. I use cinnamon in breakfast and sometimes I add it in my coffee or tea as well. It gives a nice taste and it's very beneficial for our metabolism. I am not sure if it has the same effects on cinnamon buns, I will have to try and let you know.

It is just so utterly delicious! I read somewhere that it mimics sweetness, so it might be worth a try (in small quantities) in place of sugar. I like chai tea, but I've never tried it in coffee. I'll have to give it a go!

@kimberleyclar Cinnamon is used in coffee on top of the milk cream. You can add it in cappuccino coffee or other beverages with milk. You should try it, it tastes great.

I love cinnamon swirls. they go so well with Earl Grey tea. I can't get enough of them.

MMM! I've not had one with earl grey tea before. I'm definitely going to have to try that now. Thanks for the tip!
