In India we worship Lord Ganesh (Specially in Maharashtra State). In this festival we bring Lord Ganesh Idol at home for 5, 7 or 10 days as per wish and celebrate all these days with lots of holy rituals. On completions of these days we immers that idol in water.
This festival is also celebrated by groups of peoples with big idols as combine worship for all.
Just finished 5 days celebrations in my home yesterday.
Still their is 7 and 10 days Ganapati Celebrations are going on.

We don't celebrate as such in our home here, means we do not install idol of Lord Ganesha and worship but we enjoy the festival.

@utkarshan28 - Yes, I know about it. Some of my relatives stay in Mumbai and they install the idol of Lord Ganesha in their homes, worship and later immerse it.
