I’ve passed my goal for this month

I’ve passed my goal for this month I’m so happy to wake to find I’d passed my goal. When I finally fell asleep I was only a few cents for the minimum of which you can cash out. I have a few days spear so I hope to push it a little further. I know it’s not very much but it’s at least something of which I’m very grateful for. How’s your month been so far, are you close to the minimum?

I doubt if I will be anywhere near the minimum requirement by the end of next month. Of course this is fine by me because I am simply using Mylot as a social site, so when the first payment is reached is not really a concern to me. I never set myself targets as such because that way the site would become demanding rather than simply leisure.

Yes, for me this is a get away and not something to stress over.

@GardenGerty Naturally we both know many people who depend on such site3s as this for a few extra dollars, so for them targets would make perfect sense. However, for you and I striving for such targets would simply detract from the value of the site.

@Asylum I think setting targets is a great way to approach goals in your professional life but for the small payouts on mylot, its not prudent in my view. If you don't enjoy the discussion but still force yourself to get into it, it will show in the quality of comments itself. Besides, if one really needs the extra few dollars, I believe there are far better ways to make good use of one's limited time.

I intended to cross 2.5 dollars, which I have. Now, I am targeting 3. Which is 15 cents per day from here on. :) Considering that I did not come here regularly in the beginning of the month, this is good. I would be ok if I can make 10 cents per day next month onwards. I am not here for earning as much as learning English and making friends and of course, learning some manners too. I did lose one friend recently, and I sent a message to her saying sorry, but she seems to be hurt too bad. I merely meant that I am writing such a long and boring comment nobody would want to read. But she seems to have misunderstood it. I tend to not fully disclose what I mean to say. That causes a lot of misunderstanding. I think it was in your post I did that. :( May be some day she will forgive me. Good news is she has not blocked me.

@akd_jam ..I don't know may be I am coming under wrong stars right now. In the previous inning which lasted for more than 4 years, I never had any major issues. I did argue, but issues were not there. We remained friends and still are. The new innings, which is just about 3 weeks, I have lost two friends, and I am to be blamed entirely. I give up for a while. I mean, I am busy with work at home as well. So I guess I have been in a rush too.

@vandana7 Well you have a rare quality in that you can take blame entirely on your shoulders whatever the reason may be. That should help you not only rebuild old ties with friends but also make new ones easily. Life's always a balancing act you know. Time is so limited for all of us. We have to take care of daily chores as well as spare time for other's as well. Friends will come and go but family comes first. Hopefully you are giving time for your family, that's what I always make sure first.

I had a head start since I did not make it last month. I am past the ten dollar mark. It would be wonderful to be at twenty but I will not make that.

I am quite a bit over the minimum, and although some of it is from last month when I started up again here, this month's totals are over the minimum. That is what I needed to know, if it was possible to cash out every month, and it is. Now I wonder if I should let it build by raising my payout minimum.

Is there any advantage to raising the payout minimum? If you taking payout to paypal, I believe the fees will be same regardless of the amount as it's a percentage of proceeds they like to charge. I am not exactly sure on this though. It's been a few years since I stopped doing freelance work online owing to getting a full time job.

Way to go. i will make the payout today. i thought I would over night, but didn't. There just isn't that much activity then. I don't have far to go, and it won't take me long today to get it and then I too, will be over what i need to cashout.

so what is the minimum and how does one go about getting any payment I have been lucky - earning over $3 in two weeks - which is good going compared to BB at the moment.

There is a box to set your paypal id in Settings. So I figure that's the only way to get payout. The minimum seems to be $10 and that has to be reached by a particular day of the month since they only pay out once a month. Not sure which day of the month it is though. Sorry, I am still hazy on all the details since I am new here but slowly gathering all the information.

@Inlemay ..Minimum is 10 USD, and it is paid only on 15th of each month. Earlier myLot used to turn green on the day it was the payout day. I don't know which color they will use to indicate that it is payout day.

@akd_jam They stopped paying certain countries including India and the Philippines but they haven't 'officially' stopped paying everyone else. They just seem to be taking a long time about it.

28 Sep 15
@boiboing Well the pay rate has to be sustainable for a site to keep paying out. No point in paying a lot and then crashing and burning. Seems to be the case with Bubblews. This is one of the reasons why sensible people don't complain about myLot's pay rate. They realize that there's only so much that can be paid out for making posts in a forum.

28 Sep 15
I think bubblews stopped paying, didn't they? I never joined there but heard from my friends. So, I don't think it would have mattered how much you earned anyway. Many people I know stuck there because of their friends only.

I shall set my goal for October, seeing that I have only been here a week or so. I have yet to work out what the best policy is for boosting one's income here - once I know the pattern to follow I shall give it real good go!
