Alone time for infants

How long should a baby ever be left alone, in any situation. Personally, I do not believe even in having a baby sleep in a separate room. It should have a place in the parent's bedroom.

As long as there's a baby monitor or video feed the parents can watch and listen to, I don't see any reason a baby shouldn't have its own room. Especially since the baby will need to be feed, changed, or held every two seconds. So it's not like it'll actually be left alone while the parents get their 8hrs of undisturbed sleep.

I can see it as you describe, as long as the parents or whomever, takes all the necessary precautions. I love baby monitors. I figure if people can spend for security systems to see everything when they are away, they can have something similar to watch their baby when at home or wherever. Children are to precious these days.
