Some Days I Don't Write At All

Today isn't one of them, apparently. It almost was. Up until a few minutes ago, I was going to call it a day without posting on myLot. I got busy with a lot of things today and when I stopped in here, it was just to respond to other discussions. But it's been a reasonably good day for earnings. I appreciate the fact that people are still stopping by some of my discussions and I tried to return the favor. I finished checking all the responses on one discussion, I will have to finish the other tomorrow. MyLot isn't going to be a great source of passive income, but it does stay busy here even when you have to spend the day somewhere else. And if you don't have time to write but still try to get involved in other conversations, you will still earn. And that's why some days I may not write at all. I love knowing that there is no pressure to be an endless stream of meaningless posts. This is my only meaningless post of the whole day! Do you always post, or do you sometimes just hang out with your friends here?

For me that's one of the best things about this site - there's no pressure or expectation for us to post. I never have been prolific with my writing, so it suits me just fine. I go several days between posting but I am very active reading and commenting, and my bank ticks over nicely.

Yes, bank is certainly ticking nicely, which is actually a very encouraging factor. :) Yesterday I did not do much but I got 58 cents. That is rather high and I bet it is because of some older posts which may have got views from somewhere. Nevertheless, it felt good. :)

It's relaxing to know that you can just pop in and read a few discussions and your time hasn't gone unrewarded. It makes it more of a community.

@vandana7 That is really impressive :D I was not that active yesterday either but the bank did go up slightly.

The Internet is definitely not my priority. Real life always comes first.

I agree but what does that have to do with this post? Unless not writing is not a priority over real life. Interesting and I agree life is important.

I have not done much of anything this month, so far. I probably post every day, but maybe not. I have some things to discuss I think. I have also not been around to see people for the last week. Tomorrow is a new day. I hope to start visiting my friends more again.

You've been extraordinarily busy this last month. I am surprised you manage to get here at all.

Responding to discussions started by others and commenting anywhere are indeed considered 'posting' as well here... As long as others interact to whatever we post - be it our discussions, responses, or comments - earning will roll in our bank...

That's true, you've posted to my discussion, and I am posting to your response. It's much more representative of actual interaction and interest levels when they compensate for this type of behavior instead of just paying for posts and comments.

I could not post a discussion for days. I try to come on at least every other day and respond to other posts, but for my own, not always.

that's the best charm 'f this place - not needin' to write up discussions, but instead go wanderin' 'round to other folks to see what they've been up to.

Some days I just don't have anything to say. But if I get time to be here, I can use it to check out what others are saying.

The system is quite good because, as you stated, we can participate without having to force our selves to think of some topic desperately in order to interact.

Uninspired topics make for boring posts and it's makes the whole thing a chore.

This is my opinion. It might be wrong as I've been wrong before. I think it is only meaningless when we employ the idea that it is an exchange program (return the favor) I don't mind doing someone a favor why I will even spell favor as favor and not how I would like to spell favor as favour. Now if that is meaningless I guess its meaningless. Still, we can laugh?

I don't think it should be an exchange program, but I do think it's polite to check out people who respond often to your posts. Perhaps if your posts interest them, their posts will interest you.

@Rollo1 I do when what they say interests me to the point where I ask myself a question like who is this person, or I wonder what they think or have they wrote other things on this topic. It is curiosity that drives me to want to search them out. As for polite, I try to be polite but after nameless (sorry another site I know) people who own a site don't respond because they are busy has changed my entire thinking around social sites everywhere. linking only to complete my thoughts on this topic
Win? Is this a contest? No, that is not what I mean. By win I mean be successful with a goal you might make. Win might also mean just enjoy yourself. Or it...

maybe there is no pressure because we don't see a constant stream of posts detailing people's post, earning and payment progress

Well, that's true, people are not constantly posting their earnings progress, though now and again, I can understand why they post a happy post about reaching a milestone. It's good news.

I'm starting to feel that way more and more. As a matter of fact, I may not write a post today as I need to get caught up on comments on my post, notifications and read others posts. I have a lot of interacting and catching up to do.

I took a couple of years off from Helium. It might have been a mistake, but I don't want to feel like anything I am doing is a chore. Unless it is real writing job, then it should feel like work, because it is. But this should be fun.

@Rollo1 I skipped a site for 6 months and then went in to see if they owed me anything. Couldn't figure out all the changes but pushed a button and a few weeks later 230 euros popped into my account. Nice surprise for doing nothing..

Today is my first day here Anja. I'm so disgusted with Bubblews, I could spit. I couldn't get in all day yesterday or this morning, so I thought I'd give this a try @Rollo1 . And I do see a lot of people that I know here from Bubblews.

@nanette64 One quick way to find out all you need to know is to read this blog. Just subsitute the word "discussions" for "posts".

I never really fancied posting. Now, I do post, because it becomes easier to contact a few friends who do not come anywhere else.

I remember in the old myLot when posts meant pennies, trying desperately to think of something to post. Now, I post when I feel like it.

When i am busy i just interact . But still there's this urge always that i should post even one . Good thing , that even without a new post i still get earnings while i am gone and be surprised by the very long notification which i deal with first when i open myLot.

I think Bubblews got to be a chore, there was always this idea that you had to recruit people to read your posts.

I've been too busy to post in the past couple of days but I've made a few house-calls and managed to earn another 20 cents or so. I love that there's no real payoff for posting 10 meaningless droppings in a day and that genuine interaction is just as rewarding (at least) as posting articles. This, in a nutshell, is what the other place got wrong.

I just find it normal for us not to feel like writing at times & for having that push to write & write & write. I am very much like that too. In fact, it's almost 4PM here in the Philippines but I haven't written even one. But I'd been joining discussions. Either way, I enjoy much!

Joining, that's a good way to describe it. This site encourages people to join conversations instead of just posting at each other.
