What do your numbers say about you?

Someone pointed out (thanks for that @thesids) how our numbers come about. Go look at yourself, it's the addition of your discussions, responses, and comments. I have started 64 (now 65) discussions. I have commented on things over 1,600 times () and I have responded to comments over a thousand times.
Now I am not mentioning these to brag, we can all glance over these things. No, I mention this because this is a good indication of how I work on mylot. I read your stuff first like and comment, stop off to read one thing at least by someone I don't follow, then I reply to notifications. My stats back this up.
They also tell me I like to talk, to everyone.
What do your stats say about you?

Mine says that I jump into others' discussions more than I write my own.

Aw that is so sweet of you to put me on the discussion.
My Stats say I am too fragile when it comes to initiating discussions. I have only 191 on my stats and have been around here for about 5+ years. I can start a discussion almost everyday but I know, I cannot be available for replying back to all who take their time out to be on my discussions. This is a major factor that I have not too many discussions. So yes, at times the Stats can be wrongly interpreted.
But yes, I am more interactive on other's discussions. Maybe I am a good listener too.

@Jessicalynnt People like you who comment back and interact on their discussions is what I like, and so does the community. After all, MyLot is a site to discuss

that's one of the reasons I limit my posts to 1-2 a day max, I can keep up with those discussions for the most part.

sometimes it's easier to ask someone a question on what they said, less focus on you!

I could post way more than I do, but wanted to put more focus in the community and less on me, so I limit myself to 1 or 2 a day max

harder to gauge with members who were here for the years before the mylot relaunch as their stats include activity from yesteryear too. Mine do show I am quite prolific here which is accurate.

@Jessicalynnt it would be good if it showed at a glance statistical averages, i.e., number of visits, posts to comments ratios, date of last visit, etc.

@Jessicalynnt Yes, I joined the 17th of August and I only started interacting in September, I was surprised. I know that I spend too much time at my computer.

@LadyDuck yeah me too, but.... it's where I get most of my talking to people time. I don't want to sound all lame, but I don't have friends who live nearby, everyone that I am friends with is hours away, so I get lonely. this helps

@Jessicalynnt it is like the song from the Brownies, make new friends, but keep the old. One is silver and the other gold.

My numbers say that I am a total newbie here and am not sure what I am doing.
In real life I have been around for a long time but still don't know what I am doing.
Best wishes,
Alan.

Mine show that I start very few discussions (not even 250 since 2006) but I respond to and comment on many, many more (nearly 15,000 responses and over 12,000 comments). My name has been mentioned 1,400 times and my posts have 21,300 'likes'. I wonder whether 0.72 likes per post is high or low or average.

@Jessicalynnt Yes, the 'Likes' figure is just a total of all the 'likes' you've received. To get the "Likes per post" figure I just divided the 'Likes' by the total in brackets by my name (which should be the sum of Discussions, Responses and Comments, though I didn't check that). It's actually lower than yours and that of several other people, which doesn't surprise me because I feel that the 'like' button is being used MUCH more than it used to be in the old version.
My numbers are high because I've been here since October 2006 - (9 years on 25th of this month, I think).

@owlwings I have more likes than I do the others though, 3.7k likes and my total is in the 2.5 range, maybe what I like is in there too?

I tend to look at the numbers when I'm deciding who to follow. I avoid those who have almost as many discussions as responses and several times more comments - usually on their own posts. Sadly, there are some folks here who only seem to care about their own discussions. Your numbers are great, by the way.
