She Slept Through The Night

Our 4 month old puppy Daisy usually sleeps in her crate in my brother's room. His room is the farthest away from the living room and is the quietest.
My brother usually has to let Daisy out at least once and sometimes twice during the night to go potty because she will whine when she has to go. She always goes right back to sleep afterward. I've tried to talk my brother into putting her crate in my room so he doesn't have to get up in the middle of the night since he works. He says he is okay but I really think this is his way of contributing to her care as she is with me all the time and I'm the one who takes care of her during the day.
Since my brother is out of town on business, I had to move her crate in my bedroom. I was fully prepared to have to get up several times to let her out but was surprised that for the last two nights, she slept right through the night. This is the first time since we have had her. I hope this continues but with puppies you just never know.

Perhaps she just didn't want to disturb your sleep. I suppose it's the same with all young ones, whether on two legs or four, you are waiting for them to grow up and need you less. But the needy times can also be the best. Good puppy!

Well, that is a good thing. Yeah, you never know. Tomorrow may be different. You were prepared though and that was good.

I thought maybe they have to be taken out only 3 or times a day. Well it seems like to have a
baby. I was thinking to get either a dog or a girl friend... what do you think I should choose ?

It may be that she has physically gotten mature enough to do this.

@Rosekitty They really are cute. Even when I get mad at her, she is so darn cute that I can't help but smile.

Your puppy sounds so cute. I have not had a puppy since I was a kid. We did have a dog for ten years that was a stray and we fixed him after no one claimed him and kept him.

Wouldn't it be nice if Daisy kept sleeping through the night especially when your brother gets home

@Marilynda So far, that is what is happening. She wakes up early in the morning but she is sleeping through the night.

Puppies are like Babies they have of Nights
But it could also be that she is not feeling happy where she usually sleeps
See how she goes goes when your Brother is back and also it could be that she misses you during Night see how it goes when your Brother is back

I have a cat who sleeps with me and she wakes me up at 5.0 a.m. without fail. If I don't she scratches the carpet. Sometimes I do not call her in at night and then I sleep without being disturbed, but I worry about her if she is out all night. Stupid of me really because she is a cat and they are quite nocturnal.
