Do you look at them now and...

wonder "What was I thinking?" I am talking about the old shows some of us used to watch. I remember I really liked Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. I watched it every week. Now looking back at them now they are so fake and silly. The sea monsters are a joke. Now the westerns I used to watch in the 50's and 60's are different. I think they are more realistic to the way life was and the clothes of that era than the ones they make now.
Your thoughts.

@minx267 ...I usually enjoy the storyline anyway. Are you watching the new Supergirl? It started last week. Looks like it will be good.

@celticeagle not even a little.. mostly it was cheezy sound effects partnered with SLOW MOTION that was make you supposed to think something extraordinary was happening. NOT.

I would like to watch some of the old 60 musicals again, I think I would still enjoy them just as much.

@celticeagle It might have been Full House. We used to love to watch that show but it just doesn't have the appeal that it used to.

I have watched several of the old series of shows from the 1960s that I really enjoyed in those days. I have no idea what has been done to these because they are definitely not the same ones that I watched the first time around. The original ones were quite realistic and believable.

I liked Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. It was hokey but fun. Westerns like Bonanza, the Rifleman, Gunsmoke and more were fun to watch.

It took me quite a while before I got my first TV. I love the black and white ones too. It's like a whole different world from what ours is now.

yes I know what you mean... some things travel with time, better than others... I used to be an avid fan of star trek, but now it has a really high cringe factor.... lol,
