I saw a documentary about a man who was married with two sisters. I would never accept to share my partner with anyone. I don't want to imagine how it would be knowing that my man is now with another woman. would you accept to share your partner

I agree with you I also never want to share my husband with other woman. I can't see him with other women, but I will accept when my husband does not love me anymore and want to divorce me than he take another women to be his wife, otherwise I sill to be his wife.

It sure is a foreign concept to most women. I wouldn't share either. I am sure men totally enjoy it. Two sister in the doc.....that'd be hard to take if one of the sisters. Ugh!

@Rationalwriter ....If the relationship is a good one. Some men don't respect a relationship too.

Haha!! Its every man's fantasy !! But the keyword in my last sentence was fantasy!! In real, a man is always happy with one woman!! Unless the lady suggests otherwise ;)

@celticeagle Yeah but this 'not respecting a relation' doesn't apply only to men!!

I agree with you. I also can't stand to share my husband with someone else. I even think it is much more hurtful to share him with my own sister. I don't think we can be sisters any more. How come she will hurt me like that? It is crazy. And this man must be so bad to marry sisters.

I don't understand how they are willing to involve themselves in such a relationship and more than this live in a house together with all of their 14 kids

@swissheart .....I don't either. Are these kids going to grow up and do the same thing?

@celticeagle who knows. but it's most likely for them to consider normal what their parents are doing

In ancient days, in India, many men had two wives or more. I am not sure it was an amicable thing. It never is I suppose. Rivalry mostly is about properties, though wives may find it insulting to be unsatisfactory. If more than one wife is allowed, why not more than one husband. My mind comes up with devilish thoughts. lol

As I said, it can't be an amicable thing. In fact, one of the famous king Shivaji was killed by his wife, because she did not want the kingdom to go to the other wife's child. And if more than one husband is also fine, where is the need for marriage at all, except sharing of bringing up costs.

@vandana7 and do you think those kids grow up in a safe environment?

would you be able to share your partner? I agree with that point of view that if more than a wife is possible than more than one husband should be too

I am shocked of the fact that they were sisters,Its really creepy that they were okay about sharing the same man. Imagine the cousins were also half siblings because they share the same father. In Nepal there is a tribe where they allow women to have multiple husbands.

@CaptAlbertWhisker and what do you think is the best option: women or men having more rights?
• Romania

and is it mutual? men also can get more than one woman?

@swissheart there is a shortage of women in that region of Nepal so women can have 5 husbands. Its a matriarchal society to women have more rights than men.

I don't like the idea. Much more your sister is the other woman. It's a shame to know that. Other countries may accept that.

the basic fact is that I can';t imagine what those kids would become

To each their own I guess. It isn't for me, but if this is what he wants, let him have it. There are no states in the U.S. which allow a legal polygamist marriage on paper, but nothing prevents a man (or woman) from having multiple partners and living together. There is an old joke that goes something like "If a man breaks the law and takes 2 wives, he should be punished by allowing him to do it", lol.

you're funny but I think we also should take into consideration the future of the children that turn out from those two relationships

Islam legally allows a man to have 4 wives and the ladies too seem to accept most of the time. Of course it may not happen all the time and in my own city I know of many such cases where the man has more than one wife...But personally I could never agree to share !

I saw a youtube documentary about twin sister who was married with the same guy. I never could imagine how they live their lives. I personally don't like the thought of my partner having a another relationship. I just thought its immoral and inappropriate.

I can see this might work well for the women when they get older and can share the household chores and romance is out of the picture, if it was ever in it...
• Romania
24 Oct 15
but is it all about doing the chores? I mean it would be cool to live with your sister but the idea that your man is in bed with her..
