My First Post.

Greetings all! I have just joined here at mylot and though I would introduce myself. Peter is my name and I am 67 years old. Born and educated in Cape Town South Africa, I studied fruit farming at Elsenburg Agricultural College in 1967 before acquiring a job as a trainee manager on and apple estate in Elgin.
I met wife in 1971 and we were in married in 1972 and after a year moved to the Eastern Cape to work for my father-in-law in township development at St Francis Bay. In 1981 we moved back to Elgin where I held the position of Section Manager of a large fruit farm estate for the next 11 years.
We returned to the Eastern Cape in 1992 and settled on the property we now own. I continued to work in the family business on the next phase of the development of the town of St Francis bay.
Two daughters were born to us in 1974 and 1976. At the present time we have 4 grandsons.

Hi there, I worked mainly with apples and pears during my farming career and also worked with plums, peaches, nectarines and raspberries.

@petertheo well its as easy as that - I have been here a month - its fun - more like a chat room and we are not as restricted to letters and certain criteria - remember responses and comments are worth more. So not just the like is needed. As soon as you find your way around, you will see how great it is - a nice place to be with everyone. Tony is here as well @toflanigan
