Now back at home, I'm getting on with daily life. I had a wonderful time while I was away, mostly the chance to relax and enjoy the surroundings. What will I miss now I'm home? I'll miss the quiet countryside, the beautiful gardens, the sounds of the birds singing and the neighbours calves mooing in the paddock near the house. I could see them from my window. I think they thought I was going to feed them, as they raced across to me when I took this photo. I'll miss the dog, with her big eyes and boundless energy. I'll miss walking around the farm block, just me, the dog and the grassy paddocks. I'll also miss the extra time I had to spend on here, interacting with others more than I ever have. However, home is always home and it's good to be back, to hear the cars in the busy streets, to hear familiar birds chirping, even to see the remaining weeds still needing to be pulled from the garden. It's good to be back with my husband and Smooch the Cat. It takes a trip away to remember the saying, Home Sweet Home

I think coming home is the best part of any trip. It's a chance to exhale and flop down on a familiar bed, hear familiar noises and let your hair down.

It was a very relaxing place to go, but yes, home is always best.

There's no place like it. Going away for a bit is nice but soon we'll be ready to return home. It sounds as if you were exposed to some beautiful scenery.

@valmnz me too. hubby works 24 hour shifts, and I actually like having my me time for that day. I miss cuddles of course, but having the house alone, can eat what I want, watch what I want, and be as selfish as I want.

I like the way home feels just that little bit different when you have been away for a while. When you first get back you see it with fresh eyes so to speak. It doesn't last long maybe only a few minutes and then it returns to the place you know and love.

I loved being in the country, but I'm definitely a city girl.

Home is that one place you'd love getting back to. Isn't it like your solace? That warm, fuzzy feeling you get inside your safe place cannot be compared. And moreover, home is where our heart is. :)

@valmnz living away from my home makes me do that. Can't wait to get back. I'm out for college and now I'm counting days.

We have a saying in our culture, "Even if it rains gold abroad, and it rains pebbles at home, home is still a better place to be." It's really true.

@valmnz As Goethe said, ''he is happiest, be he king or peasant, who finds peace in his home.'' Glad to see you happy and contended back from your trip.

I was so happy to be back home and see my plants this time.. I did have a whale of a time there.. but home is always the best place to be.. Our faces brightened up so much as we entered our city.. it felt like we had been away for months instead of days.
