R I P Maureen O’Hara

Sad to see news of the death of Hollywood legend, Maureen O’Hara, aged 95. She is best known for her role alongside John Wayne in The Quiet Man, but she also appeared in many other movies, and worked until 1994. The Christmas classic, Miracle On 34th Street (original version) and McClintock (again with John Wayne) and Jamaica Inn, were among her other classic roles. Arthur Chappell

Yes, she was a great actress! I watched The Quiet Man for the first time just the other day.

one of my favourite movies of all time and still probably the longest and funniest fight scene ever filmed outside a boxing or martial arts film

oh, now I know who she was, I remember watching her in Miracle on 34th street, she was quite a beauty.
