What age did you start liking coffee?

I've never been a fan of coffee. Honestly to me without enough things added it tastes like ground dirt. I've started drinking coffee just because I had to, to help get thru the day here and there. We've had a few nights around here w/o alot of sleep but like many still need to get up and uphold our responsibilities. I know my friend KatsMeow will be shocked to hear this... ;)

I guess it has been on and off for me. As a teen or preteen in the winter we would drink a lot of coffee on cold days when we walked home from school, but that was mostly milk and sugar--same when I visited grandma. I drank coffee at home, but when I went to college the water made the coffee taste bad. My first husband did not drink it, but when I had two kids he got me a coffee pot for a mother's day gift, because I liked it. So going on forty or fifty years. I drink it black now, just about three cups daily.

I loved on caffinated sodas when I was in college. However, I had to watch when I drank them and eventually gave up on them because it was inhibiting my sleep at night.

@Missmwngi I think way back then I would cut off my caffine intake by 6pm or I couldn't sleep. Yes I agree my free time was sleeping time and I had very little. As when I was in college I went to trade school full timed and worked full time... my days off was sleeping time

Never liked coffee too. Oh wait, unless it's brewed and with sugar and cream I won't like it. I prefer the cold chocolate Starbucks (and similar brand) drinks with the cream on top rather than their famous coffees.

I am right with you! I only like it with alot of sugar, cream, and milk or forget thinking that I'll drink it. My hubby will drink it black... he's so used to it he doesn't care for too much extra other than some occasional sugar.

I started liking coffee back in the 70's. Then once I started drinking it black with no sugar or milk, I loved it even more. I love the dark bold robust flavor of good coffee. I need it to begin my day.

@owstalaga I love my coffee now. And I also have a Keurig coffee machine and love all the variety I get with it. And I still love my extra bold dark roast coffee.

I do like a good cup of tea. But I am unaware of a tea that has the caffine power that coffee or soda has.

@enlightenedpsych2 I've never heard of that type. I'm not even sure it's even available in our regular grocery stores. I might have to try to remember to look for that kind.

Oh man I LOVE coffee, but I take it with a good deal of cream and sugar. It actually wasn't until a few years ago that I started drinking it. We never bothered to have it in the house until our friend from Canada came to visit, and she needed her daily coffee fix. She brought some of her own, and I tried a cup once or twice. Then my neighbor who got her kids on the bus at my house would sit with her coffee and chat, so I started to get into the habit of having a cup with her. Then it turned into an addiction.

I wish i could drink coffee, but can't do anything with caffeine in it at all. Being that i have a heart condition i just rather not drink it and would rather live a longer life. All though i love the smell of it i just can't drink it. I buy candles that even smell like coffee. I get through my day by eating snacks and drinking drinks with a high sugar content to keep me going through the day.

I have had coffee since I was very young. Then I had a cup of hot milk for breakfast with a bit of coffee and some sugar. I liked it better than the alternative: milk with tea.

Well I am 27 years old and still to this day do not like coffee. Growing up I asked my grandfather "What does coffee taste like" he decided to allow me to try some...well it ended up all back over him. I did not like it and spit it out every where. My husband is still trying to get me to drink it. Now a few weeks ago he bought one while we were running on no sleep and I needed eergy and I actually thought it tasted more like hot chocolate than coffee and it was pretty good (no it wasnt a capiccino i asked and im not a fan of hot chocolate either but this one put me right where i needed to be). My grandpa he always drank it black and it turned me away completely...

@Marcyaz If my husband makes it I may drink it again because he made that one pretty good. Though I was running on barely any sleep and on the 3rd day so anything was good at that point Lol

The first coffee I liked was not real coffee at all, it was chicory. Coffee came into my life when I was in my late twenties.

I was not allowed to have coffee till I joined college. My mom thinks that both tea and coffee are addictions to be scrupulously avoided! I like it but can't have too much

I think I was 19 or 20 and my first coffee I drank was from 7-Eleven! L.O.L. I remember that day so well! I was about to go to work and there was a 7-Eleven next door and it was cold outside and I had my first big cup of coffee from there and it was so good! I never drank coffee before that day and when I met my husband now I have to have a cup every morning and sometimes during the day. We use the Nescafe Instant it is so yummy!!

I've had the rare cappicino from the gas station before but once I get done doctoring it up it's sweeter than hot chocolate ;) No instant here thats spared for times when we are traveling ect. I'm trying not to drink too much consistantly so it doesn't mess with my sleep.
