Humming... Do You Find it Annoying?

I must admit that I'm a hummer. I like to hum A LOT and it often annoys other people. I personally feel like I'm being creative because I tend to make up my own songs most of the time. The response is often negative though as most people tell me to "SHUT UP!" I guess I am unappreciated in my own time because I'm brilliant in my opinion.
Do you find humming annoying?

I actually do not mind it (for the most part) when people hum. My dad used to hum and whistle tunes all the time. Sometimes, in the middle of humming or whistling, he would start singing the words quietly to himself, and then randomly go back to just humming or whistling the tune again.

Haha, well I only hum familiar tunes. I've been asked about it once from my previous job if I just hum random tunes. I'm not much of a creative hummer like you. You should compose some music!

@crewgirl Alright! Good luck! Hope you share it here when you've done and made a song.

I sing to myself and your post reminds me of when I was working in an office with a number of girls. I did not realise then how annoying my habit was, in fact I hardly noticed I did it. One day one of the girls remarked that my voice was like Hilda Ogden - a character in a soap opera who had a terrible voice! That stopped me! I think humming might be safer...

I once thought I had a good singing voice until my sister sat me down and gave me the truth. Yes, I think humming is definitely safer for the both of us.
