Silly but Mortifying Mistakes

Or you really should look at what you're doing, before you do it. Yes, I've been the victim of a few little boos-boos in my day. Nothing which will cause any life or death harm or cause people to be angry at me. Chances are no one noticed them but me. I had one this morning here at myLot. I wrote up what I thought was a pretty solid response. I was happy to go, but turns out, I forgot to actually hit respond for the topic in question. Well, that stunk a little bit. Then there's the ol' copy and paste errors when you forget to actually hit copy with something and then paste the one thing which is supposed to be a private message and not something. So yes ,mistakes, I've made a few. Guess it keeps me on my toes and shows i'm only human. At least we can have a good laugh about them and learn from the later.

Making a mistake isn't the problem for many people. There are a lot of times where people choose not to learn from them. By not making the attempt.

I also once was upset with my ex. I was sending a text about her to someone else but accidentally sent it to her.

Yep, that had to be a bit....well mortifying. And it's a very common story with many people. The angry text or e-mail finding their way to the person where the anger had been directed towards.

A co-worker was sending out am email that was supposed to say "Sorry for your inconvenience", the auto spelling correct corrected the word as incontinence and sent it to the entire 4000+ employees of the company.

That made me chuckle a little more than it should. Just goes to show you auto-correct is perfect(and neither is spell check.)

Such is a part of being human. Just got to roll with it and learn from it as much as we can.

Anyone who says they don't make mistakes is not telling the truth!

Agreed one hundred percent. Or at least so blind to their own flaws, they're making an even bigger mistake than the ones they make.

I have made similar errors, having a post all set to go then accidentally changing the page before hitting send so I have to copy it all in again.

Mistakes! We are all on the list. Love when someone sends a text and forgets about the send button.

I made the silly copy paste mistake a few times, but fortunately they weren't too embarrassing. Or harmful. Just funny.

The funny mistakes are really better. It would be bad if it was something which could cause some real harm and hurt feelings. Or accidentally bringing private matters public. Of course, as long as it's caught before going live, no harm, no foul.
