Think Confident, Act Confident, Be Confident

This is a special day for me. This morning I'm attending a presentation morning tea for the grant I've been awarded to go toward finishing writing and publishing my book. I'm very excited, but also rather nervous. Being recognised for my work in this way is quite a new experience for me.
However, I've always managed to pretend I'm confident in the past. You know that saying, fake it until you make it? That's me. So, this morning I'll take a big breath, put on my confident smile and walk into the room looking as if I'm confident. Think confident, act confident, be confident.
I'm only one of several recipients, so the atmosphere should be quite lively. This is a huge step forward for me in my writing and research career.

@valmnz pfft, I think that was me being tired, and not you being sloppy. But wouldn't a grant for tea be awesome?

@AbbyGreenhill not sure I'd call it fame, I do what I do and than kfully a small circle recognises it.

O, I have never heard or read about that saying. But I heard some women/wives fake things once in a while. By the way, the title of your post reminds me of Donald Trump. He thinks confident, acts confident, and is confident to win the GOP nomination.

I used to work in film and had associates in publishing...I know these things are more rare then they used to be, so that is something to be proud of...extreemly proud of actually-it's a very real reason to feel confident:)
