The Bird Chasing Me!

United States
November 7, 2015 1:20pm CST
An old friend of mine that I haven't heard from in 17 years sought me out and found me just recently. I call it a God thing! She is on a quest to find herself so to speak, spiritually! Any ways she reminded me of this bird I had and let it out of the cage. Well the crazy thing started chasing me with its mouth wide open and my dear ole friend was there at the time laughing hysterically while I'm being chased by this crazy bird. I think I threw a shirt on it, grabbed it and put it back in the cage. I haven't had a bird since! O I got to laughing so hard when she reminded me about that, good ole memories. Birds - tiny little dinosaurs with feathers. Best kept caged.

@Rollo1 I absolutely agree with you on that. I don't think I will ever have to worry about it again as I won't get a bird EVER! LOL

@Bluedoll Yes, I am so thankful for the good ones. Praise be to God for the good ones. How do you like living in Canada? Do they have a good health system?

@Butchcass4 It was good when economies were better, maybe too good. The system was paying for everything, everyone, even people visiting But now with cutbacks hospitals are lacking, waiting lists are growing and the care system is not allowing for some health treatments requiring people to pay if they want something more. Basic care is still in place. I was born here, so it is hard to make a comparison and visiting other places doesn't give you a complete understanding. Our life is complex too. I find the people in your life allow you to like it or not like it.

@Bluedoll It sounds like you are not in a good health system. That's awful I am sorry things are hard for you there. We have our own problems but it mostly involves our vehicles. We had just got done boasting about our Saturn and my husband said its making a bad sound it has a lot of miles on it we've had it 16yrs. so I guess we really can't fairly complain about it, its been a good vehicle its just old and probably worn out and ready to go to the junkyard. Praise God in everything right!

I hope your friend finds herself spiritually, I'm not quite sure what that might entail, perhaps you could enlighten me.

@wetnosedogs It certainly was startling. I was scared of that little bugger. LOL he had me running all over my apartment LOL. Never again. I will not own a bird now because of it and not to mention that they are messy and can be loud.

its so much fun when you can get together with an old friend and reminsce about old times and funny things U remember the tine when Nelda and I had gone to a diabetes seminar and came out to the parking lot of Western Med.center to find we had left a door half c losed and her battery would not start. She and i went into the center a nd phoned her apt no answer we lived in the same aot complex so we got one of the sec urit y guards there to charge her battery and we got home. She accompanied me to m y apt as hers was dark, and sure enough our two sons were blissfully unaware of our tro ubles and were deep in fixing something on his computer. The laughyed when we told them we had been stranded and she called her aoartment to get her son to come charge her battery./

@Auntylou Yes it was very strange to be chased by that bird I think he was a parakeet, do you know if they look like parrots but are smaller? Cuz he wasn't very big but had beautiful colors
