Not sure if I would call it insomnia but I do have difficulty falling asleep. There are some things that aid. Melatonin helps me get to sleep but I still wake up in a few hours.
Reading does the same thing some nights, helping me get to sleep, but other times I am able to read for hours and still no sleep comes. I have tried herbal teas and warm milk to no avail.
Regardless of what aid I try, I generally wake up two or three times through the night and rarely sleep straight thru for more than 2 0r 3 hours at a time.
Have you any sleeping problems? What helps you?

I haven't had sleeping problems of late, but used to while I lived in Arabian countries. Aerobics, brisk walking and ground exercises just before going to bed would make me tired and help me to fall asleep earlier when I had problems. Since I was living in Middle East Asia (temperatures soaring around 60 degree C at times), I used to find it hard to practice brisk walking outside the house. So, I applied a technique of walking inside my bedroom within a small circumference (by walking in the shape of "8" within a small radius). Such "8" walking helps in two ways. One is that it clears the nose blockage if any. Second, it makes us tired and helps us to fall asleep.

Interesting, funny how it made you tired. When I used to work out at night it had me all wrought up..lol I do the walking in my apartment in a small space too, not for sleeping but just to stretch the muscles and get exercise when I cannot get out

@dorianna How long would you walk? I used to do it for 25 minutes within a small radius (mind will be wavering of course from pillar to post during the walk).

yea as I used to stay awake to study, It has became an habit and now I cant fall asleep till 3 or 4am...I keep on thinking which affects mt sleep. Tried deep breathing exercises with closed eyes lying on bed..also to clear my mind and try to keep it blank...slowly I doze off.
