Whats your writing style?

My writing skills emerged from a website called bubblews. I had never attempted to pen down things or thoughts before. But out of the blue I thought to test myself & started to write something..anything! After a while I could write well I thought, but here comes the thought! Why would one read my articles or poems?? I thought to make my articles a spark and polish them with METAPHORS, IDIOMS & PHRASES!! On my blog I use these a lot... How about you? Any favorite lines, phrases, proverbs, idioms or metaphors you use in running language often?

I just write anything that comes out of my thoughts. As long as people read what I write and understood what I write then I'm happy.

Different styles for different occasions, of course. I might to a friend "that time in Cincinnati with the blue-haired guy," but I won't if I'm writing to a government official.

@mindthoughts,I generally write in my mother tongue Hindi.I have written many stories and articles offline in reputed Hindi magazines.Way back in 2011 I joined Mylot and began writing in English also. Then, after Mylot stopped paying,I joined Bubblews. Now Bubblews is a dying site and Mylot is back.So I am back here again.I believe in writing simple,easy-to-understand language.Whatever new words, phrases and metaphores I learn by reading English articles,I try to use it in my discussions and responses.

Don't overthink your writing, keep it natural here, just like having a conversation

It's hard to say what my writing style is. It is what it needs to be for the characters I'm developing in the stories I write.

My wrtiting style offline is quite different from the way I write here. Here I just let things roll out of my head, no thought required, whereas in my writing life I am very particular.
