You can't beat a Sunday Roast dinner !

My favourite meal is a good old fashioned Sunday Roast.
It would be the meal that I would choose if I was having to choose my last meal on earth.
Today we are having chicken.
So we are having roast chicken, roast potatoes, peas, sage and onion stuffing and gravy.
The smells that are coming from the kitchen are already making my mouth water.
I look forward to the Sunday roast every week as not only does it include all my favourite foods but also it is a time when all of the family get together and family is so very important to me.

Nothing better! You know what you are eating too! I still cook all my meals and will do so as long as I can! We like good eating at our house! Hehe!??

@Margielynn I agree totally. sometimes we have home grown veg too .... less than 30 minutes from garden to plate..... the best you can have !

Being retired we have a lot of 'Sunday' dinners on weekdays...we had a roast beef diner on Thursday.

Perfect lunch for the weekend. I can see that why could'nt resist this temptation. Also the chill weather outside makes us crave for such a dish as this.

I used to hate Sunday dinner as a child, and am so glad that I don't have to suffer it as an adult! All that nasty meat to tackle, plus that appalling gravy - yucksville on a plate!

Oh my. That sounds amazing. You actually made me hungry. I think I'll go downstairs and reheat the leftover chicken fro mlast night. Ha ha ha.

I went to a restaurant after church and had roast beef, green beans, mashed red potatoes, hot roll and coconut pudding cake. All very delicious, a homemade meal! Now did I make anyone hungry! Hehe! I am very full!??
