Welp, Bubblews Is Gone...

Yep. Bubblews has closed it's doors. I don't feel like going into the story of how I went to the website and saw the message. I think we all know the message by now lol.
I should have hit that green button when I hit $50, but I didn't, so that part is my fault (tho I still feel bad for those who were counting on that money). However, they could have given us a little warning. Some of us would have liked to have saved our posts, made plans to reconnect with fellow bubblers elsewhere, and of course, say our goodbyes. Like you really couldn't give us a few days?
Luckily, I have found a few former fellow bubblers on here, and I'm on Persona Paper as ViperGirl85 - sooo hopefully people find me on there too. Luckily the ones I was really close with talk to me outside of the writing world, but still, it was a crummy way to go about doing that.
I'm going to try to be more active on here, especially since my former fellow bubblers are on here, and I just followed a bunch of you lol. I'm sorry to see Bubblews go, but one thing I have learned recently is this --- when one door closes, another door opens.
Farewell, Bubblews. And fellow Bubblers, catch me on here and Persona Paper. Thanks. :)

Although a warning would have been nice, I think the whole entire year has been a warning to us! I guess we were just in denial about the struggles of the site. Sad to see it go, I made a lot of friends there, but at the same time I'm happy to see so many of them discovering this site! Now, let's hope this site remains financially viable!

@tammys85 Oops, that was actually a typo. I meant to say myLot, but I seem to have BlogJob on the brain because that's where I've been doing most of my writing lately. It's a great site, but they're not accepting new members at the moment because they've got some technical problems to take care of first.

As a former bubbler I can honestly say that this place is wonderful. Enjoy your time here

Well, if nothing else, Bubblews was a good learning experience. It gave a lot of people their first experience in writing for the web. That may well pay off now on sites like myLot.

It was classless the way they just shut down with no notice. I'm just glad that even though discouraged, I posted my book reviews on more than one site. I did change them slightly and the better reviews, unfortunately, were on Bubblews, but sh*t happens. I guess we should have seen this coming and saved our articles (which would have taken a hell of a long time). At least I don't have to split my time between the two sites now.

Most of posts wouldn't have been saved, just a few important ones, but I realized that I may actually have a few of them saved, so I'll have to check. It was just the way they did it that was irritating. I'm not even interested in their Sweeble app or whatever that thing is called.

@ivyparkgirl There are users who were always paid. There are some users who were NEVER paid, and after losing all they had redeemed the first year, went on to write there for another year and still never got paid. They did pay some people, but they didn't pay all the people they owed money to. You are very lucky. I know a good bubbler who was there for two years and never got a dime.

@tammys85 I am sorry that you lost your articles. By now we know that site owners,in general whether it is CGP Gallery or bestwriters,do not warn us when they are going to shut the sites down.

@silvermist Thanks. I'm not joining anymore of these websites right now, I'm good with my freelance writing, MyLot and Persona Paper. I'm on Daily Two Cents but I'm not all that active.

I think they could have given a little notice, too. I suppose once Nameless left, it should have been obvious to us.

True that. Between the babysitting and my actual freelance writing gigs, I wasn't on Bubblews every day anymore, so I didn't even know until a few days ago about Nameless leaving, and I was busy at the time and couldn't go saving anything of importance.

I was on there about a year but realized that there was no going back to the former glory. I am so pleased to be on here and a lot of my former BB mates are on here too. In some ways it is better that they have called time as now we aren't left wondering and wasting time that wont be paid for.

We should have seen the writing so to speak when the last one on staff that we were hearing from suddenly went silent
