I Might Be The Only One But I Will Miss Bubblews

The news that bubblews has decided to close their doors in a very sad one for anyone who was ever a member, especially those who like me still had money there they hoped to one day receive. That said, for all bubblews faults and failings I still have a lot of happy memories of my time there and I will miss the site now that it has gone. I was lucky enough to join bubblews just after it came into existence and as such it proved to be a very good source of income for me for a couple of years. There were times when the money I earned there got us out of a hole, and it also helped me take my family to Florida last February, for that I will always be very grateful. What happened towards the end of bubblews existence was really sad and disappointing for so many members and I really hope that the sites owners do the right thing and settle all the outstanding redemptions, as it is only fair. Well I guess that is it for bubblews, that chapter in my life is closed and now it is time for me to focus on mylot and the future.

As Arvind would have said, it was never 'real' money!

the $2,500 that landed in my bank account was certainly real money to me @boiboing but I know what you mean, bubblews was paying out far more than it took in so it was on borrowed time.

@mrtoffee This was the story he gave when he slashed everybody's payouts last year. That the money wasn't 'real'. Despite the fact that the money everybody had previously been paid was very real indeed.

@boiboing I am sure that the money they made was real. I cannot imagine they were so full to pay more than what they cashed. That was a lame excuse to keep all the money of the last two months of the year 2014 to spend for their new creature "Sweeble".

I don't miss Bubblews too much, especially since I left way before the site shut down. I'll get around to reposting my articles to HubPages very soon.

You're not alone. I miss the Bubblews of its heyday. I got while the getting was good myself and deep down knew it couldn't last. I'm sad it all went sour but not mad.

@ivyparkgirl I haven't gone back to check how much I made in total from Bubblews but it was significant as well. I will miss the cash but will especially miss how vibrant and active the community was at that time.

Same here @Amado it was a very sad end to a once great site, but as you say it was not a big surprise to seem them shut their doors.

I certainly will miss it - yet it was almost a relief when it finally disappeared! Things seemed to be going so sour, and the "management" team were disappearing en masse, so everyone was becoming anxious and it really wasn't a happy place to be!

@mrtoffee They waited for us to accumulate a large amount before they shut down. Now we are helpless as far as claiming what belongs to us.

@ivyparkgirl there were a lot of those posts on bubblews to, thankfully I made friends within the admin team at bubblews and they always sorted out any issues I had.

@Vivenda it is such a shame they dragged it out so long, had they shut the site down earlier it would have saved a lot of pain.

@ivyparkgirl I don't think Mylot will ever hit the earning potential of bubblews, take mrmojo01 for example, he was breaking $50 a day from ten posts

Not sure how you search for friends here @traceyjayne I know @crazyhorseladycx and a few other awesome bubblews writers are here.

It was quite a ride wasn't it @baconstrippsxxx for me the beginning of the end was when the last platform was launched and they got all the media attention, it brought in far to many people trying to make a fast buck by any means possible.

@ivyparkgirl yeah... between 2011-2013, I made about close to $2,000 from Bubblews but then sometime after November 2013... it all bottomed out and I was struggling to get to my next $50 cashout over that past 2 years! last I checked I was at 32.08... or something like that. oh well.

@mrtoffee Yes. I am forever thankful to Bubblews for getting me out of a bad debt! I'm also going to miss some friends I met there... wishing I kept more in touch with them via other means.

I've been on Bubblews and it closed its door to everyone, I've been on BeerMoneyNation that just launched last November 14 and it closed its door to everyone too, I've tried to register on Blogjob but they closed their doors to new members too. And here I am, I'm saved by myLot.
