I am relative new to this site but in the time I have been here MyLot has offered me and other so much. Here is what you can gain from this site….
1. Friendship – the site gives you such an opportunity to build new friendships.
2. Expressions – you can express yourself and are free to write discussions or just comment on other posts.
3. Interaction – the most wonderful part of this site is you don’t need to write your own discussion. There are so many of them on here we can interact with everyone.
4. Friendly – everyone on here is so friendly and helpful. Just ask a question and so many of the members will answer this for you.
5. Freedom – you have a lot of freedom on the site to write what’s on your mind. You can express your feeling, tell a funny story, share an event, or even write about a culture. You basically have no restriction what you can write about.
6. Rules – the site rules are so easy to follow. There is no need to dispute the rules. This site only asks that you restrict yourself from posting a few things. You can usually post what’s on your mind or an event that is taking place right now in your life.
7. Relationships – here on the site you can build some lasting relationships with other writers from around the world. It’s so nice to meet new friends, learn about where they live, and carry on conversations with them through comments on your discussions or their discussions.
8. Earnings – yes let us not forget about our earnings. The more we interact on another person’s discussion the more we see our earning rise. Furthermore, if we write a discussion that attracts many members we see a rise in our piggy banks. It’s important to write discussions that people love to read and comment on. That is the secret to this site.
I could go on and on but I will stop here. Why do you think MyLot offers you so much?

I just hope the site never goes away. It has been here for the long run.

@TiarasOceanView You are so welcome and it makes me happy to share this special little island with others around the world. I found out in a lot of my work there are some who have no idea this islands are even here. Others only think of Bora Bora as the only island they call Tahiti.

Welcome, though it looks like I am new, I actually had signed up shortly after they started years ago and I cancelled my account when they stopped paying. There are many benefits to MyLot, besides what you mentioned. Like I have learned how to make homemade jam and talked and shared about my interests from saving money to my dogs.
Most importantly, it was a MyLot member who had told me that I could get a pell grant to get a degree. I didn't believe her at first, I thought I would have this tuition or would have student loans, both were not reasonable since we were doing so bad financially. But she said if I qualify that not only would my classes be paid for, but my books as well. Unfortunately I have lost contact with her and I'm sad, because I want her to know that soon I will have my degree thanks to her encouragement.

@JudyEv Thanks, her account is still here and I am following her, but I don't think she knows that MyLot is paying again or she is really busy. She got a degree in culinary art and had this job where she cooked for a client on his yacht in Florida, she would be gone for weeks or sometimes months at a time. So maybe she will notice activity here again (I did message her, both here and on yahoo) and she will show up. That would be really nice.

Couldn't agree with you more. I have meet people from around the world. Many people want to know how I arrived here on the islands. I love this site just because we can meet so many new people and a whole lot more.

For myLot to earn enough money to stay operable and afford to pay its constituents, it must offer enough perks to keep us interested and coming back day after day. Yes, there is much to be gleaned by participation. I think you covered them well.
@cindiowens made a good point. There is diversity. This keeps the discussions interesting and even beneficial for personal growth and appreciation of all cultures.
If one interacts often and with an open mind, it is like a classroom discussion where everyone is edified.

You have summed up beautifully the benefits of mylot. You have narrated it point by point and it is a kind of guide for newbies who are keep to know the benefits of joining mylot.
I agree with all your points and I feel free to express my opinions here, feel free to start a new discussion on any topic (irrespective of the fact how many users respond to it), have made some very good friends across the world and it is the best stress buster for me and it has helped me learn many new things and improve myself.

@poehere - Yes, it is true that we get to meet so many people/friends around the world. If you had not joined mylot, you might have deprived yourself of the fun, which you are experiencing now a days.
Also, if you were not a user of mylot, we would not have met you and would not have come to know about tiny islands in the middle of the South Pacific.

@dpk262006 You are so right. I am happy I did join and it has been a lot of fun. I am here about 6 weeks or maybe 7 now and wow I guess I am having fun if you look at how many comments and people I have responded to in this short time frame.

What a great discussion, and you have summed it up so nicely. I love everything about mylot, as you are right, we can make great freinds here, learn about their cultures, all while earning. There aren't that many sites out there where you can do that. Mylot to me is one of a kind.

I think that is a mutual feeling from all members here on the site. This site is so friendly and everyone on here is so nice. It is a good place to drop by and spend a little time each day.

i think you described it truly right and very well said.i totally agree with you,we can make good friends here from all over the world and we can share our problem and joy with open mind,if we put problem then we get lot of answer but all are unique and different so we can choose easily we are in trouble our friends give positive thought and tell us to go ahead.

You are so right. What I also like is this if I make some errors in my writing nobody says a world. they might politely ask me what I was trying to say. I like how friendly and nice everyone is here on this site.

@cindiowens I have been dong more interaction than discussion lately. When I first arrived I did more discussion. Then I discovered interacting was a lot more fun and I didn't have to worry about writing so much.

I only joined here 2 days ago. And so far, I am having a great time here. Writing is my passion and also love to learn new things as well as interactions with different people from different parts of the world. I am also active in various online jobs. So I really love here. I will be staying here in mylot for a very long time.
