Where Were You?

Where were you (or were you even born yet) when former president John F Kennedy was assassinated 52 years ago today, November 22, 1963? I personally was in the womb. My Mother was 4 months pregnant with me. She was teaching elementary school and she told me that as she was teaching that day, that either the Principle or another teacher came into her class room and told her and the class that the president had been shot and killed. She said it upset her so much that she almost felt like she could have had a miscarriage! (luckily she didn't)

Yes, it is just like how I can remember so many details as to what I was doing on the day of 9/11 when I got the news about that sad event.

@AbbyGreenhill It is very sad to remember when John F Kennedy was shot and when 9/11 happened and now it is happening all over again only in France this time.

I was about 5 years old and I remember being brought downstairs wrapped in a towel after a bath when Ruby shot that other guy and I was awfully confused because we had just borrowed our uncles black and white TV and this had happened inside it and there was a woman called Jackie and my uncle was called Jackie and it was all too much for me.

I was 7 years old living in a very remote province in the Philippines..I heard John F. Kennedy's assassination from the adults who gathered around the radio all day for almost a week. The adults were all very sad it made me feel very insecure..

Well of course it would make you feel insecure with the adults being so sad over the Presidents demise.

I remember very clearly I was at home and had a baby to care for with the TV on I heard about it on there and then my mother called from another town and asked me if I had heard the news and about that time we both started crying and had to hang up the phone. It was an awful shock for the whole Country.

I was in a cooking class at school and the school secretary just opened the door and shouted "President Kennedy has been shot".
