I found $50 today!

Last week I ordered the new RFID wallets. I kept seeing them advertised on TV as well as other places and decided they were something good and something needed.
My husband's came Saturday and mine came today. After lunch I got busy transferring everything from the old to the new wallet. My old wallet has many secret compartment, some are so secret I forgot where they were. The first one I checked I discovered a $10 bill. Well, that alone made my day!
Since I paid $25 for the new wallet (a $48 retail price) I figured that cut the price down to $15. Good deal. I was just about ready to toss the wallet in the trash and I decided to give it one more check and to my surprise I found two $20 bills shoved deep inside one secret pocket.
I guess basically I got the new wallet for free plus money to go out to dinner! I still have not trashed the old wallet since I plan to check it once or twice more first!

I do to, but this time I thought I was finished - If I had thrown it out I wouldn't have realized I tossed cash!

You also hide the money and forget about it. Yesterday it was cold, so I got out my warm boots from the cabinet, I wore them and I found there was something weird. I checked inside and I found 6 Swiss Francs banknotes (for a total of 100 Swiss Francs - same as 100$) inside the one boot. My husband does not know.

@AbbyGreenhill Hubby usually says that he will found a small fortune the day he decides to search the house. What I fear is that he can find old Italian Lira that have no more value.

@AbbyGreenhill You are so right. I know a lot of people will give their old wallets to the kids to play with. Look what would of happened if you did this one. The small look in their eyes when they found your hidden treasure and post of gold.

I would have lost $50 - I found ten then two twenties.I don't have kids so that wouldn't happen.

LOL . . it also happened to me two weeks ago . . I have 2 leather jackets . . I don't use one of them often coz it is heavy and I feel uncomfortable. But last week I decided to put it on coz the better one needs to be cleaned. I don't know I just decided to check all its pockets . . . . Tada, a $20 bill is resting comfortably in one of the inside pockets!

@AbbyGreenhill it sounds like it was your lucky day. I find money that I put in a safe place that is really a safe place because I can't remember where the safe place is. It's a wonderful surprise to find it later.

I use to put all my change in a jar at night and in a few moths i would have a nice amount of change to cash in.

I have found dollar bills of varying denominations tucked away in coat pockets. That is one way to kick off the winter.
