I have started to republish Bubblews posts

I am going through all my Bubblews posts, and I have started to republish some Bubblews posts in Mylot. There are a number of Bubblews posts that I will delete. These are mainly redemption posts. As I read my Bubblews redemption posts, I recall the days when Bubblews was giving out very good rate. There was a time when the minimum redemption was $25, then it increased to $50. Even at that rate, making $100 a week is not a problem despite having a full time job and a part time job. Reading those old posts really makes me sad about the demise of Bubblews.

On the one hand, yes. On the other hand not to be molested by St. Arvind's pseudophilosophical drivel is a relief.

As so many of the people here were also on Bubblews and will have read them already I can't help think it might be better to write completely new posts

Actually no need to write completely new posts. I have done plagiarism check before I republish the content. The link shows up Bubblews, and everyone knows that Bubblews is gone.

@paigea I agree with you. I prefer to be more spontaneous

@scheng1 but people who read my posts on Bubblews will not be interested in reading them over again here. I am not going to bother.

I wish I had kept copies of my posts on my computer. I really want the Memories of My Father posts. They are a nice compilation that could make a nice memoir some day.

@hereandthere @scheng1 Are you referring to something on the search results page? I am not seeing any green triangle, cache or anything else. Just the link which takes me to Bubblews message that they are gone.

@hereandthere No, there is no green triangle. I may have to ask someone who CAN access them, to go to them, copy and paste and email them to me.

It's a good idea. Good that you keep a copy of your Bubblews posts. I kept some, but not all. Yes, it's used to be a great site, and I kept telling myself to trust the site, the admin, but.... sad to see it just went downhill and closed down like this.

I have a policy not to trust people too much, and I am sure glad of this policy. I think it is stupid to trust when we are not getting paid, and the site team keeps on giving excuses. As the saying goes, "show me the money". I start to write less when the payment is not forthcoming, and now I have a whole lot of Bubblews posts for republishing.

@scheng1 Though I still have hope and trust on people, I am not as innocent as I was when I was younger. Yes, the trust with Bubblews has been destroyed when the payment kept delaying and excuses were given...

I think it is fine but I would check to make sure they are actually gone before doing this one. You don't want them deleted on this site.

@scheng1 It is not me that has to worry it is you. I just said this because of a few people and the comments made. You can do as you wish and take you chances it doesn't effect me one way or the other.

I think its a good idea. I have over 900 posts there. Some of them would be good to republish in mylot. Is it in tune with the rules?

Yes, you can publish them here. I have done so, and my posts are still live. Many site owners will do plagiarism check, and when they see that the only link is to Bubblews, they will accept the content as original.

I have written more than 3000 short posts for Bubblews. Even if I delete those redemption posts, I still have 2000 or more posts. I think i will upload some of them to Mylot when I have nothing much to say or too tired on a given day.

Yes. It is sad that it is gone but I have moved on. I did keep some of my favorite articles from Bubblews but I'm not going to republish them here. Maybe in the future somewhere else.

I have more than 3000 posts written in Bubblews, and most of them are personal and casual posts. I do not want to waste the effort, though I have made more than two thousand dollars from Bubblews when it was still paying very well.

There is a strange Irony that 3 years ago I am reposting my old Mylot articles to Bubblews. Now it is the other way around

I know you will sad when you remember about the demise of Bubblews, because you have a lot of money from the site, while I never get it though a bit, so that I do not feel sad when I know the site was shut down.

Yes, those who joined much earlier were getting paid. I think if you have joined a year earlier, you would have very good memory of that place too.

It is precisely because some people could make $100 a week "no problem, despite having a full time job," that Bubblews went out of business. It stopped being a social writing site and became, for some, a money making game. I hope that never happens here.

Interesting. I have never even thought about doing that. I think most of my stuff from Bubblews is still online. I would like to put sleeping dogs to rest though. Bubblews was certainly good when it was going but when it got all too much the owner turned a blind eye.

I found that most of my Bubblews posts were about trivial things and current news so may not be appropriate for other writing sites. I may perhaps use the same topic and rewrite something new. But there are those that can be recycled and posted here in myLot. I'll just have to go through the posts again.

I have access to most of the stuff I put on Bubblews but unless it's good discussion material I won't be posting it here. There are other places is can go and do more good.

That sounds great. Can you redistribute those posts now or were all rights sold to bubblews? How many hours on average were you working to make $100 a week? I know that Bubblews went out of business but I had heard that there are many other sites that paid better than they did. At any rate, I'm glad you are continuing to write :)
