I had my second Son 5 months ago and now have ridiculously sensitive teeth and gums. I had it not long after he was born but had a cold at the time and put it down to this, but it has come back. I keep getting really bad toothache/ nerve pain, I cannot imagine there is a problem with my teeth as I on,y went to the dentist about 2 months ago at the most and there were no issues, also although it is mainly in one side it does vary in place as to where it hurts. I am using sensitive toothpaste and a really good mouthwash so I guess what I am asking is has anyone else experienced this and how can I make it go away other than painkillers? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

A trip back to the dentist would be in order and tell him exactly what is happening.

I was having a similar problem when I last went and there was nothing wrong. Trying to avoid another trip will see how it goes lol.

I do not have a clue as to your problem. You need to go back to your dentist.

i would go back to my dentist and tell him what you told us as he will know what is causing tat I know having a baby puts a lot of strain on a womans body so that may be partly to blame.

After a bit of research it seems to be a common problem so hopefully it will right itself.

If the dentist can't find anything wrong then it might be something developing after your pregnancy. I know it sounds a little mad but consider alternative therapy - there could be a pressure point that is out of alignment which is causing your mouth to cause pain. Finding out the pressure point and relief point on your body might help the pain to go.
