The Champs Elysee's a week before Christmas - Paris 2011

Many people describe the Christmas Festivities as the silly season, quite frankly, it probably is. Instead of being silly about gifts, eating, who to invite, who not to invite, how, what, where and with who . . . focus on family and togetherness. We went a Caroling on Monday evening, candles, singing, and the grandchildren were so cute, laughing all the way with the Jingle Bells song. I am waiting for some Christmas spirit to arrive . . . if you have excess, send some my way. Happy Holidays

I fear I lost my Christmas spirit somewhere and I cannot find it. I hope it will come back, better sooner than later.

My concern is that so many people get silly on the roads. Holiday traffic, tired drivers, too much festive cheer - it's never a good time for road safety.

The reason being, is that all the inland people go on summer vacation, so we are left with a crust of people along our coast line and an empty core

I still think this is a little early to go Christmas caroling but everyone has their own thoughts on this. Happy Holidays. It looks like our Christmas will be a white one.
