Today is a Soup Day

Taco Soup
Centralia, Missouri
December 1, 2015 3:56pm CST
Today is what many would call a dreary overcast kind of day. I rather like these days, yes I spend a bit of it sleepy, but I can go outside without wearing sunglasses. The temperature is lovely, and for once, it is not raining. On days like that, and many other days, I make soup. This one (seen in the photo, although the photo is from another batch) is Taco Soup, or Dump Soup. I dump beans, corn, olives, tomatoes, chillies, and seasonings (taco, ranch and Italian dressings. So was it a soup day for you? If so, what was your soup to make? I am always on the lookout for more soup options.

@Susan2015 Vince is off to golf shortly and normally I would get dinner. However he is going to make pancakes. I will get the batter ready for him and have it in the fridge.

Oh! You must be in Texas or somewhere warm like this! Ireland is cold and wet definitely a soup day. I did my winter vege soup, chicken stock cube, potato, carrot, onion, green beans fresh, then a tin of 4 beans mix (chickpea, butter beans, kidney beans, and black eyed beans). It's perfect with soda bread.

I could have been a soup day here, as it was a misty day, but it was a mild day here, so no soup for me.

Interesting combination. I've only had breakfast. I haven't been real hungry lately, though I'm beginning to feel like I could use something to eat and maybe some soup - Campbell's - would be good.

For me soup is more of a liquid than what you show here. I make a lot of pumpkin soup in winter, and vegetable soup.
