I Guess I Was Hungry

After I ate at about 6:30 I became really sleepy. When hubby left the cat and I went back to bed and slept for a couple of hours. Of course I feel behind on everything now. I guess I woke up at 3:15 this morning due to hunger. I just ate lunch so I will have something to run on for the afternoon. Does being hungry give you problems with sleeping?

Can I have your autograph? I think that the last time I was not a big eater was when I was 13. Maybe 4. Or when I had surgery, or had the flu.

@GardenGerty I normally get hungry and I mean really hungry around 11 to 1 everyday. This is when I basically eat the most. At night I don\t eat so much because I find out I can't sleep good and I am awake for hours on end.

When I was younger, hunger was just an annoyance, if that. I would toss back a Coke, and that would put a lid on it. Well, if I get hungry now, all hell breaks loose. I get cranky, and don't feel good. I MUST eat, most of the time. I also start to sneeze. Yup. There is a nerve connection somewhere in my stomach, that connects to my nose. I start to sneeze at the most awkward times. Hunger is a major deal for me now. I wish it weren't.

How are your blood sugar levels? It sounds as if you go low. I do not like that cranky feeling.

@GardenGerty I'm not diabetic, but have never really taken tests for hypoglycemia. I don't get dizzy or shaky, like a lot of hypoglycemics do, but I can get quite grim. My mother used to tell me, "You're just like your aunt Catherine" (her sister) who was the same way, but she would get angry and exceedingly unpleasant. I just get quietly desperate. It's pathetic.

I sleep better after having eaten. I think your body temp goes up a little and I wonder if that doesn't help. Especially in the winter.

Maybe. I keep a heated mattress pad on warm when I go to bed. I bet food warms you from the inside.

@GardenGerty ...Yes, so if it does you shouldn't need the heating pad.

Yeah, being hungry does give problems with sleeping, and that too especially during the winters. This happens because you don’t want the cooked food, you want something else that you are hungry for, that you are willing to have, your favorite meal. After having your favorite meal, you can sleep peacefully without even getting up in the middle of the night.

I don't think I've ever gone to bed hungry although sometimes my tummy is grumbling when I wake up.
