Did anyone else get a solicitation email from a writing site called SkyPip?

I got an email from SkyPip the other day, saying they'd raised their rates to $00.005 per read, and lowered the minimum payout to $5. I remember getting an email from them as Bubblews was dying. I was turned off by the bad English in the email, and did not even consider signing up.
The more recent email was a bit better written, but there were still errors suggesting it was written by a non-native English speaker. Has anyone else received a similar solicitation? I wondered where they got my email. Has anyone gone so far as to try the site? Frankly, my assumption was that it would be another scam, like that site that copied Bubblews's format and then disappeared with our ad revenues, paying nobody.

I have had several over the last few months. I think the name of the guy in charge sounds familiar. I would have to hear from people who are signed up before I would consider it. I am afraid it may be a revamp of one of the failed sites.

I have and I keep deleting the email without opening it. I'm afraid there will be something bad in an email that is not expected. I doubt I will every open it. I should goggle it and ask how they got my email???

@TheHorse Don't forget the part where you have to send them a 10grand money order in order for them to retrieve the money due you.

I did not, but usually those type of marketers are scammers.

I've received it, too.
I'm assuming that they're purchasing the list from somewhere, because they used a (nonexistent) address that I've only used for completing offers. It's an old one, too... I haven't used it in at least two years, maybe a bit more.

@Dragonairy1 My hunch is still that CGP Gallery was a major culprit.

i have never gotten that email. A writing site should not be sending out mail with poor English in it. It does not sound like a winner. i just searched it and looked at the terms of service. The English was barely passable.

Nope, but then I have a strong spam blocker on my email. I don't get messages from strangers.

@ElizabethWallace Ah, that's a good protection. But what if an old friend gets your email from a mutual friend?

@TheHorse Yes I did. I couldn't remember the name of it. I reached payout but didn't get paid. I had another think about London Brokers last night as it is pretty quiet here but that's not a social site - just writing simple background stuff for businesses.

I have not heard of this site. Perhaps it is spam. Certainly if the email is poorly written I'd be on the lookout.

I have not received it.
I do not have a trust in new website.
I think if this site is really good, I will wait till others have been paid for a few months before i join.
I do not want to waste time on a site that does not pay, and will close down.

I do get these emails. I did not know where they were coming from, so I never opened them. I was afraid of receiving computer virus. Is this a legit company?
