Yes, in the week I posted that we were to have a Christmas market in our town again after several years without one.
At lunchtime on the actual day of the event they ( the council ) cancelled it.
This was .... they said .... due to the fact that we were expecting severe weather conditions !!!
It did get a bit windy about three hours AFTER the event was due to end !
What a wasted opportunity !
People were not happy that it was cancelled at the last minute and then no bad weather !
Do you have Christmas markets where you are ? What sort of stalls are there ?

The media have turned Desmond into a maniac! The poor organisers had a difficult decision to make. The wind got up really quickly and was very feisty in my neck of the woods yesterday.

They didn't even put up signs to tell people that the event was cancelled and there was actually no bad weather. Hundreds of people turned up for the event !

What a bummer! We have a Christmas bazaar at the gym of the local college. There are booths that sale crafts, decorations, baked goods. Just about anything you can think of that relates to Christmas! I look forward to going every year!
