Why myLot Appeals to Me

It’s barely a fortnight since I joined myLot. But I have already found it appealing. Here are some of the reasons why:
• It is simple in structure. One can easily navigate through the site, make connections and participate in topics of interest.
• It has a friendly atmosphere wherein members try to help one another while sharing their views. The common thread of ‘universal brotherhood’ runs through all the interactions.
• One can start a discussion on any topic that he/she likes or is comfortable with sharing.
• The diversity of its members is impressive. It is open to people from all over the world. In this short span of time, I have interacted with people from not only different parts of United Sates, but also from Canada, U.K. Europe, Philippines and India.
• This writing platform has given its members an opportunity to learn about the culture, customs, traditions, habits and lifestyles of people from all around the globe.
• There are no restrictions on the topics one can discuss as long as these are within the parameters of the rules. Hence, varied topics of interests are touched upon daily right from serious world issues to personal and domestic issues, from tips and advice on health, recipes, parenting and relationships.
• Private messaging is available between friends. So also there are tools available for edit, delete, comment, and like, among others.
• What I find most appealing is that there are no deadlines to be met with. One can be flexible in one’s input depending on the time available.
• Lastly, there are no tall claims made or promised on how much you can earn here. It all depends on you. KUDOS to the owners and administrators of myLot.
Please share your views on what appeals to you on myLot

To me, most appealing feature is the friendlyenviroment, positivity all around and no bad language and malicious intent and personal attacks. you can writer whatever you like and you'll always find someone to leave a comment on your post. Even if you get only one comment, I would say not bad.

You are here for short span since you joined mylot, however, you have summed up wonderfully, what makes you love this site.
You are right that there is no dearth of discussions and one could respond and go on and on and one could be here all day and may not feel bored (till s/he gets physically and mentally tired).
It is very true that mylot give us opportunity to understand culture, customs and lifestyles of others.
You could be here on mylot as and when you like, there is always some activities going on here.

@Gabugs - Yes, it's restriction free regarding use. We could be here any time and the way we like (e.g. we could respond, just read the discussions, comment on others' comments etc.).

@dpk262006 I totally agree with your views here. Another aspect which stands out is it has an "open-ended" structure with restrictions solely to protect its members. One is free to use myLot as, how and whenever they like.

You are so right, and very well put. I was a member of the old mylot, and left for two years, and came back in August, and I have had the best time, but then I did before too. It is a great site, and what I like is the fact we can make lots of friends, learn from them, all while earning. I liek the interaction the best though, as it is the best part of myot. I am here for the long haul.

@Gabugs Thank you, and the same to you too. I do enjoy mylot a lot and always have. I am glad that I came back in August, as I wasn't planning on coming back before that, but I kept getting emails about new followers, and so I decided to check it out, and then it was I found out they were paying again. I have been here since, and here for the long haul.

After not being here for a couple years, I am glad to be reunited with old friends and meeting new ones here on myLot. In my experience this site has simply been the best - and trusted - I hope it sticks around for a long time!

I became active here Oct. 23rd, and just today I reached $5.00. I need to do more interacting than I do, because that is how to make the most money. I have not had a lot of time to devote to myLot lately, but hopefully I can soon.
I love all the things you mentioned about myLot. The only thing that I have found about the site, is if you do not respond to notifications within a week they fall off. I got behind and this happen to me, and now I cannot respond to everyone.

@slund2041 I would say not bad if you are not able to interact regularly each day like others do. For me too the going is slow, but I have no complaints. You have brought out an interesting point regarding Notifications. I'll make a note of that. Thanks.

@Gabugs Yea, you might want to respond to the older notifications first, or they disappear.

I like the private messaging system and I am impressed that people interact mostly on the discussions and the messaging is used only when necessary, as it should be. I think Bubblews was afraid to let its members communicate privately for fear of mutiny.

I agree with all of the above! Deadlines stress me out big time. I just like to sit down, peruse what people are chatting about and let it inspire me to write something, then go back to perusing the site some more. It's fun! Getting paid for it is a pretty sweet bonus!

It looks like we sail in the same boat @simplysara
I have been increasingly finding deadlines to be stressful. I like to write what I want to express and share at my own pace.
Nice meeting you Sara.
